Are online games or computer games OK for preschoolers?

From the ages of 2-4, kids are exploring the world with all their senses. And while there are good online games and computer games that teach early word recognition and basic counting skills, it's best to keep the time spent on these activities -- as in all screen time -- to under a half an hour a day.

A great place to start: Look for an online game that is educational -- like those at PBSKids.com. They're designed to stimulate early learning. But remember to keep screen time to under 30 minutes.
