Prototype is a very violent game. Very gory, body parts fly every where. You can kill civilian's and your foe's. F--k,sh-t, is said. I think it is a fine game, but not so great for some people. My friend got sick after playing the first few seconds. Its fun but really gross sometime.

I love this game, but it is the most gory game I have played I still consider it a good game, fine for 14/15+.

Not extreme by much,since it happens just at every stop,your kids will soon just learn to get used to it.if you can't get used to a bit of violence in the world,you never will grow up .i play this game at least six seven hours every day for the past two years(I got it in 2009 when it came out)and I don't get violent I don't get into fights though I do get intro arguments and curse at times but these are very seldom and almost not at all.if your kids want to play just let them play.

a very violent game with gore. you can cut people in half,punch holes into people kill zombie like creatures,shootings and explosions. this game is easy to play excatly the same as hulk ultmate distruction. infrequent uses of the f-word and milder stuff(mostly infrequent). shootings aren't very gory but cutting people in half and stuff like that are gory but when you cut someone in half its just red. most kids now just watch and play anything so 11+. by the way its quite hard including the final boss battle so young kids won't be able to play it.

The main problem with this game is that the main charecter is extremely selfish and doesnt care who dies as long as he find out who he is and gets "revenge" on whoever gave him these great powers, even though it seems like he should be thanking them. It is an extremely gory but to me it seems like the violence is unrealistic and comic book like, which makes it a whole lot worse. It is very easy to play, the controls are simple and it is almost impossible to die with how good your powers are, and it is awsome for stress releif

This game is by far the goriest I have played, Using claws you can literally chop people in half, Decapitation and dismemberment and every form of violence. Blood is maximised. Language is moderate for a 15. Never buy this for kids. Its disturbingly gory.

This game is fun. Oh man, I find myself not even wanting to go do a mission because I'm far too busy tearing down a military base or destroying a infected hive. Gore is abundant. Very abundant. It's all over the place, but I just can't get enough of it. It appeals to my interests, and I imagine to a great and vast audience of guys 12+. Now, Alex Mercer's cold and yes, he's uncaring. This is all due to his amnesia and the Blacklight virus lurking within him. He does show some degree of caring, as he rescues his sister and aspires to keep anyone else from ending up like him. Gameplay is easy to pick up and extremely fun. It's up to the parents to decide if this is too gorey or not, but it's fun, and if your kid's more mature, then let 'em go to it, and blow up a tank or five.
