The Sims 2 Is A Graet game for high-schoolers as well as 4 grown ups.yeah inaapropriate things like Woohoo And Try For Baby Can Object Some Young Players. But All Way Its A Very Good Game By EA Games And Maxis.

A game should played by any old teen
One of the best games. Better than the first. It is iffy younger teens, though.

Very Good Game
This is a very good game. There is no violence. There is kissing and some suggestions of sex (none seen.) I would say 10 and up.

The Sims 2 has pros and cons. It is a fun game. There is a little sexual content (Rolling under the sheets, bubbly hot tubs.) Adult characters can drink at home bars. Sims have the ability to fight. If kids get bad grades, they may be sent to military school. On the positives, Sims do hold down jobs (adults and teens) to fund their lives. This game teaches life lessons, like grocery shopping, caring for babies, the impact of death, etc.

Love this game... but I'm an adult!
This is such a fun game; but beware for young kids... it's really only appropriate for older teens!

Most excellent
This game is a good, fairly accurate depiction of real-life and most semi-mature children would do well to learn some of the lessons of life in this simulated environment instead of making those mistakes in real life. Important skills like time management, budgeting, and friendly interaction can be reinforced through this simulation. While yes, the sims can have sex and fight, nothing is ever shown ("WooHoo" is hidden under the covers, and all fights occur behind a cartoonish cloud of smoke). All in all, if you've put any effort into instilling a sense of reality and responsibility into your children, they would greatly enjoy the Sims 2. The only reason I feel this game should be held off at all is the interface can be a little daunting for the very young.

I play this game myself and love it.
Its probably one of my favorite games. I dont think theres really a problem with it with kids. I dont think I would give it to a kid under the age of 12 but its fun.

Frighteningly addictive
My sister and I played the first Sims since about 2001, so we were especially excited for this. We were not disappointed. It's a fantastic, realistic game. It's educational, in a way. Players must budget their Sims' money and paychecks, pay bills, and keep the families happy. It's also a great game for budding architects and interior designers. Yes, there is some sexual content. Sex is called "Woo hoo", and is only done when the player directs their Sim to do so. "Woo hoo" is only available for adults and elders, but making out is available for teens, also. My younger sister was 10 when this game came out, and she plays it, and loves it. There has been some debate about the rating of the game, and as a gamer and a fan of The Sims 2, this makes me angry. The game definitely does not deserve an MA rating. It's realistic, true-to-life, but not so much that it should only be for adults. There is mild violent content (players can kill their Sims in a variety of ways- burning, drowning, starving, and electrocution are just a few examples). I'd suggest it for any mature 12+ year old.

For mature teens and above!
Well, I have always been a great fan of the 'The Sims', and now with the 'SIMS 2' a whole new level has been reached. I believe that unlike the original 'The SIMS' that this one focuses a lot more on grown up aspects. It features actions such as 'WooHoo' which is basically term for the sims copulating. Also, features such as aspirations, whic hI believe was introduced to encourage youths to have aspirations too in their own lives. The game itself requires a very very good computer to play, whereas the previous 'The SIMS' could run on basically any computer. It is very demanding on the hard drive and computer memory and graphics and sound cards- but the results are worth it. If you're very into graphics, you'll love this game, if you are an older teen and enjoy the occasinal cheekiness every once and again, you;ll enjoy the romance aspirations and actions, and if you're a family conscious person, there are family based aspirations too. It really does cover a lot of ground. I enjoy playing this version of 'The SIMS' and apart from the game itself, there are opportunities to customize very realistic skintones, clothes, furniture plus more. You can truly let your creativity flow. :)

A lesson to be learned
I am sure some people think i am crazy to give this game such a rating. Well, it is very realistic about pregnancy, raising a child, peer pressure, keeping a house clean, eating right and exercising, hygene, having a job to get the things one wants, and getting the wants. This game doesn't instantly give you the best things first. You have to move your sim to everyday situations to move along with life. You have to earn what you get and there is no instant in the game which makes some players not liking it. I own "The Sims" and my husband disliked it because, you had a budget, you had to get a yucky job and had to keep your sims bar a happy green to move on to a new career or relationship. All you had to do in the first Sims was to keep that Sim in the green. Very easy concept.. Sims 2 is more developmental then the first because, you not only have to keep that Sim in the green but, you have to develop that sim at the same time by them experiancing more realistic challedges then the first game. I suggest if you are a teen or a parent of a older teen...get this game and I bet that teen will learn alot about responsablity in this game. With the Sexual Content in the game..No it isnt for younger kids or younger Teens. but, it is apart of most peoples lives. I dont believe it is over graphic and they do have that wonderful blur... Thanks

Mostly anyone can play it. I started playing Sims when I was 12. You really do not see any sexual behavior, aside from making out, but younger kids do not even know how to get the characters to do that. (You have to be at a ceirtan relationship level to make out). Parents beware: this game gets addicting very fast. Like I said, I started playing at 12, and been playing it ever since.

BEST GAME EVA!!!!
I LOVE THIS GAME!!!! I play it like every single day! I think common sense have it wrong when they say it's not age appropriate for anyone under 16 because my mum and dad think it's a great way to be mature and learn about life! Buy this game you will NOT be disapointed!

Questionable content?
k; so I'm 14 and I love this game. I think that a lot of people are making too big of a deal about how it's to 'sexual' and has 'bad messages'. These are all things that are on tv [and much more graphic] and I don't see anyone complaining about that. I would say this game is suited for younger [10-] players, but it's up to the parents what's appropriate for their kids and what's not. The things with sims is it's an RPG; so people can make it whatever they want to. If they want their sims to be kind caring people, they can make it so.

Completely safe! No joke!
This game is appropriate for kids. Everyone 10+ has heard the talk! And so "Try for baby" is a natural prosess. Kids need to know that some people can be materialistic. And about the bars; it's not like they get drunk! Play the game for an hour and see what I mean. Everyone 11+ should know the difference between right and wrong in this game.

Not good for kids.
This "Woo hoo" and "Make out" Would make this game 14+ Otherwise the game is about 10+. You don't have to Woo Hooo. Kids will have questions about it. :) So watch out. Young kids could get frustrated.

Lots Of Fun. Even More Addicting Than The First.
This Game Is Pretty Fun. Even My 10 Year Old Sister Plays It. Age 10 Is About The Age Where The Player Can Actually Understand What's Going On. Like "WooHoo's" and "Trying For A Baby". While Much Younger Kids Would Be Asking Questions About It Quite Frequently. But When My Sister's Sims Try To "WooHoo", She Realizes What's Going On. And She Runs Out Of The Room Until It's Over. And There Is Some Violence. Your Sim Can Die In Numerous Ways. It Could Burn In A Fire, It Could Probably Not Have Been Taken Care Of Enough (Purposely Or By Accident), It Could Starve To Death, etc. And When Your Character Dies, The Grim Reaper Comes And Leaves Your Ashes In A Container. But If You Haven't Saved The Game Before The Accident Happened, You Can Exit Out And Not Save So You Can Either Fix Your Mistake, Or Kill Them As Many Times As You Want. But Other Than That, If You Actually Enjoy To Take Care Of Your Sim, Then The Game Can Be Quite Addicting.

a really good game even with some bad things
it's a fun game for anyone as long as you don't do the bad things. it really helps with real life. it's a lot like real life. it teaches how to deal with real life problems and gives kids a sense of leadership. i think it should be at least 7+ and 5+ if a parent plays too. p.s. i know i don't sound like a ten year old but my sister is writing this for me as i tell her what to write.

this game is really fun!
i love this game! the only problem is my parents won't let me woohoo. it makes it really hard. i think if you know about it you should be allowed... but that doesn't matter in the review. the sims is really fun for me because it never ends. you can keep going forever. there is some bad things but if you don't do them it's ok. if you use cheats then it is fine without woohoo. i think the game is really easy but that's because i use cheats to do everything. without them the game is impossible. i'm good at gaming but the needs go down fast and when your sim is pregnant it is seriously hard. so if you actually want to accomplish something cheats are pretty much necessary. it's fun to play and very addicting- but i don't care- i am already addicted to world of warcraft and now i spend all day on the computer. i would recommend this for eleven and older so kids can understand the game and can be allowed to do woohoo (yeah they know what it is). gotta go talk to my mom now and try to talk her into letting me experience the game fully...

Good game, now availably cheaply
Some sexual content (including unmarried and same-sex relations), but nothing graphic, and any nudity that occurs throughout the game is blurred. A little violence, but mostly comedic stuff. Overall, fine for any kid 12 and up, and fine for some 10-year-olds.

Too great to forget; too easy to love.
The Sims 2 followed up the original, and failed to disappoint older players. It's more lifelike feel, new graphics, and thousands of options to choose from when making a house, the Sims 2 is one game that I wouldn't doubt would still be played twenty years from now.

Sequel to the #1 PC game of all time
FIrstly, I have been playing sims from when I was 9. The first Sims game was an absolute masterpiece, and probably one of the most advanced PC games of its time and Genre. As years advanced, the technology has become better. Now, Sims 2 will allow you or your kids to emmerse themselves in the sims world. There is absolutely no swearing, as sims speak in Simlish. Theres some violence, but it is not at all graphic. Sexual content is pretty big, as theres kissing, hugging, flirting and "Whoo-Hooing (sims language for sex) If your kid is mature enough to handle the more sexual aspect of the game, i would let them play it. It is also great for families to play together!

Sims's sequels is much better than the last one
Sims 2 allows you to manage the life of numerous Sim people. There are parts of the game where it has mild violence and sex, but this shouldn't really matter to you since the game is awesome and expansion packs are many. (Don't get Night Life if you're worried about the sex part of it).
- I rate this title iffy for age 10 and give it
Addicting.
I been playing this game as long as the first Sims came out! And I think I was like 8 or something. I would come over to my cousin's house and play with. The Woohoo and all that PG-13 stuff doesn't really bother me. I mean, if your kid or someone have some serious issues, they'll probably make them sims Woohoo over and over again. But anyways, This game is pure amazingness. You can decorate homes and create sims however you want. You watch your sims grow up and you control their lives. You create drama and friendships. Etc. Its like you're god. Eventually, you'll bored. I know. But if you go on Sims forums. There'll be contests, stories, and other things that you can join. Everything is fun and endless.
