Positive messages: Not applicable.
Violence: Players shoot the enemy with laser guns and engage in one-on-one combat with deadly lightsabers (plus, there's the Force)..

What's the story?

What's the story?

STAR WARS III: REVENGE OF THE SITH is a third-person action adventure game that allows players to experience the power of the Force through Jedi masters Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi. The game features missions based on scenes from the movie (as Anakin, you must rescue Chancellor Palpatine, for example).

As you complete each mission, side missions open up that allow you to play as other characters. The game gets progressively harder as you move your way through it, eventually advancing to the boss battles, which are all-out duels with familiar foes like Count Dooku, Mace Windu and Darth Vader.

Is it any good?

Is it any good?

It's clear how this game helps to promote the related movie: The game features a full 12 minutes of movie footage that you won't find in any movie trailers. And it is a quality production: Sharp graphics make players feel like they're characters in the movie. The sound is provided by Skywalker Sound, which provides sound effects in the movie (though true fans will find the voices of Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi annoying since they are not the voices of the actors from the movie). However, gameplay is average at best.

Battles are repetitive, and even the most complex moves are fairly easy to execute. It takes only solid control of one or two buttons and a few hours of playing before you feel you have mastered the game. Slightly more appealing is duel mode, in which you can set up dream duels with such popular characters as Yoda and Darth Vader. The light saber battles in the two-player mode are scored in rounds, with the winner moving on and unlocking additional players that can be used for future battles.

Revenge of the Sith video game
The Revenge of the Sith video game is a fun action packed game based on the 3rd episode of Star Wars. This game is pretty violent with many blaster fights and lightsaber fights with some scenes which may be to violent for kids under 13, but there is no blood. The game is fun though as you get to take on the role of Anakin and play through the move. Ok for anyone 13 and up.

There's something about this game that lacks. The multiplayer is fine, with your choice of over 8 characters and over 10 arenas. But the actual game is tedious at times. Skywalker has silly moves, only Kenobi has a real stylish swing. The games gets repetitive, with the only real difference being the different bosses you'll encounter. The commentary is dreary, and soon repeats itself in a loop. The environment isn't interactive. This game isn't as good as some of the other Lucasarts games. Otherwise perfect for young kids, but older kids will soon tire.

fun, but short
