One of the more modern SSB games.
This is a game that will suck you in until you get boerd. The SSB series includes SSb1 for the Nintendo 64,SSBM (this one) for Game Cube and SSBB for the Wii. The game is baced on Nintendo charactors just going to fight. By fight I mean punches kicks and unreal powers. No blood, gore, just mild fantacy vilonce and cartoon mischif. good game though. For me, this is a E10+ game.

Over-rated...the teen rating that is
Super Smash Bros. is a fantastic game. The violence is incredibly cartoony and it's a pulled back view fighting game. It's not bloody at all and there is guns but it's like star wars guns. I recommend this game to all kids.

Must-Play!
This is a must play for anyone who has a Gamecube or knows any one that does. It's a 13x better version of the first ones. Sure it get's boring after a little while, but wait till you discover all the melee modes! They'll keep you busy for hours! Be aware that it IS a fighting game, but with NO blood and gore. I think the T-rating for this game isn't right.

best nintendo crossover for kids
i have been a fan of mario since i was born and he and more nintendo characters are in super smash bros. super smash bros. brawl was my first taste of smash bros. and it was awsome. i got melee and it is awsome. nothing is wrong with this game. it is a fighting game but no blood was added. as far as i know this is the first fighting game made for kids and nintendo did a good job making it. all ages can play this game so do not let the esrb t rate trick you. one last thing. story mode is cool but only a few cutscenes are in the game and no plot is told.

Great for most ages
This is a great game. Sure there is violence but no gore or blood or anything bad. Just your average punch, kick, and superpower game. I started when I was about 6 and a half. The controls are sort of difficult but it gets easy once you get the hang of it. And so this is an awesome game in my opinion.

Just Right
The violence is technically harsh throughout, so there is no question that this game's rating "T" is just right.

very very enjoyable and fun game. It is fairly easy the play and EXTREMELY fun to play with other people. p.s actually CMS, the female characters are some of the hardest to control and master :P

Good for Kids
My brother has this game I just don't see how he likes it so much. It's a good game but get the one for the Wii. First of all the second one has alot more players and places.

Whoop whoop whoop
Man i love this game. this game is the reason i bought a gamecube, if you were to get a gamecube( though i would rather go for a wii cause it plays gamecube games) buy this, dont get anything else but four controllers, and this for it, nuff said. its that good.

good for under teens too!!
I strongly disagree with the T rating this got. I would have rated it E10+ sure, it's a fighting game, bit there's no gore and all that happens at the most is you fall off the screen (most of the time you might just fly back) I think a 7 or a 8 year old could play this game. to summarize.... great for 7-8 or older violence, but no gore non-realistic violence (no-one shouting, screaming, falling to the ground in a realistic way for death) lots of martial arts nothing else inapropriate (no language, sex, etc)

THE BEST in PvP EVER!!!
The whole game engine works miraculously. The variety in characters leads to some imbalances. One-Player mode is more extensive and is quite a challenge in the harder modes. I just can't wait for Super Smash Bros. Brawl to be released for Wii, and Super Smash Bros. to be released for Virtual Console.
