The game was fun for me (Age 38) and intense. The game plays around the constant theme of treasure hunting as the suspense and conflict continue to run throughout the game. Gun fire and death (some with blood) continue to rear their heads as well as some swearing. Some intense scenes include some zombies with very intense and suspenseful action. There are some good puzzles involved reminding me of problem solving skills. The game overall was great, good graphics but not for the "tween" but more for the teen.
This is an entertaining, action packed game that doesn't take itself too seriously-- it reminds me of a great Indiana Jones movie. I have watched my 12 year old son ( he's almost 13, and is quite mature) play this game, and it is like watching a movie!
The character is quite likeable, and the concern that the charcaters feel for each other is believable. It's just fun!
That said, the swearing is not what i would like my son to use -- but it comlpetely fits in with the story and the character's situation, and does not feel "gratuitous" at all.
There is violence as well- this is the only game my son is allowed to have that has guns ( we have not allowed him to get COD, for example), and it's a bit more violent than I would prefer-- but again, it has the same feeling as an Indiana Jones movie.
For parents who generally oppose "gun games", this one stands out in my mind as acceptable.
first of all fantastic graphics, secondly the level design is amazing, i'm not gonna say so much more because this game have so much content i could go on forever and i don't have time for that, so i'll just end by saying: BUY BUY BUY, your kids will love it, even though the second entry in the series: "Uncharted 2: Among thieves" have already been released, and: Uncharted 3: Drake's deception" is coming this fall, then this is a game worth buying, no PS3 owner has a complete collection without owning all the titles in the Uncharted series, this game is a must, all the Uncharted games are. not to vilent for mature 11-12 year olds, if immature then perhaps 13+, but 13+ is long enough regardless of immaturity. So enjoy!!!
Uncarted is a good game it has some action movie content like in indiana jonnas or national treasure. like all action movies it has a girl who gets kiddnaped, lots of explosions and guns,
this game i would recomend for every one 10 and older {E10}
This game and i repeat is not Tomb Raider,
its not a clone its not nothing besides being in the same genre.Fun game with grat replay value,a great lesson to be taught, over all fun and exiting its like being in a blockbuster movie.
this game is 100% great, but has it its dark parts. there are scenes dipicting corpses and freshly murdered bodies. there is an instant wich you explore an abandond, rusting nazi u-boat and you find many rotting corpses, in the jungle you find a mercenary skewered in a booby trap. then a sad cutscene entails drake finding his ancestor, francis drakes rotting mangled corpse. this came has some serious swearing, no F-words, but some stuff thats even funny. Sometimes you can hear your enemy, while in cover, scream "Stick out your head d**kweed, see what happens!", one time i heard someone say "S###t suck".but other than that theres b words a words d words and Bull S###t. the end is purticularly scary and sad which the leader of the mercenarys that have been hunting you, Eddy Tang, teams up with you while in the catacomes to defend themeselves against mutated, zombified, and demonized spaniards. Once you have defeated the monsters, he chases a way a mutant down a hole staying at its mouth shooting down the hole screaming "You dont mess with Eddy Tang, ugly b**ch!" his gun empty the thing pulls him down the hole. the end chapters even freaked me out when exploring an abandoned nazi bunker, the zombies crawled down the wall behind me and ripped me to ribbons. this is a great game and love it.
Some violence but my family has no issue with that.The things I dont get about this game is how they pulled it off.This game is fantastic and the violence is NOT that bad.So what if this has a guy smoking.This has some pretty PG-13 language so games are kinda like movies.Lots of people think this game is not for kids well I think it should be owned by a responsible kid.Really if you dont let your kid watch any violence is that because you dont trust your kid?If that is really think about it.I think your kid should be able to play this game.
