Good for everyone 7- 100!
IT IS AWESOME! I guess the only thing bad would be you have to pay to go to new worlds.Still if you think, $10 for one month? You CAN go buy a DS WII XBOX game for around $29-$60 but it IS sort of cheap. For $50 you can get a 6 month subscription or tons of crowns. With the one month you can lvl up to around 21. My guy's name is Eric GhostStalker, add me to your friends ( I am in krockotopia right now (the second world) Over all it's a great game

Fun game, until you meet the marketing
I tried this game because my little brother was playing it. We played together and had some fun. However, being used to chatting in MMOs I was a little turned off when I found out I had to subscribe to chat : ( But still It's lots of fun, but you know how if you don't pay they say it's the free trial that lasts forever? Well, that's half true. Eventually every single one of your quests will lead to areas you need to buy with in game money you get with real money. So yeah, you can enjoy a little PVP and fight some dungeons, but unless you pay you can't do anything else. Also, the areas get more and more expensive as you get further on. I spent a little money on this game myself, 750 crowns a place, 5 dollars for 2500 crowns, not bad. Then, I got to Krokotopia where every single place is 915 crowns, and I said "Heck no!" So play it because it's fun but DO NOT spend more than five bucks on it, you will regret it.

Money crunchers, and online dating is this too much?
This game is decent, but there are a bit down falls on the this game, first of all they go through you'r money like a speeding bullet. I think that crowns are no fair at all five dollars for 2,500 crowns are not wroth it. They egg you on of buying more crowns because of things such as, pet energy, henchmen for when you get stuck in battles, and last but not least membership. There are also bad people on the magical world of wizard101. I remember one time i went into the commons in wizard city and people ask me for online dating, and they said sexual things to me i reported them but nothing happens. I think king isle should moderate thier chat sytems so people get into trouble what they do. after all this game is fun but watch out there are some nasty people on there!

Actually great game
I love this game. The only problems are again memberships. Otherwise it is really an amazing game. There is some violence because you kill enemies but it is still very fun. I love Wizard101. Easy chat is available and so is Your normal chat. I reccomend Normal chat because some things are blocked and protect harmful words but it's just alot easier to talk to other players when you can type out. There is ONE thing I do not like about it. I don't like the membership things where you have to pay. Otherwise it is a great game and I reccomend it.

Best game ever!
I don't get how this game doesn't have 5 stars instead of 4. I mean, the problem is with those inattentive, or, not to be rude, dim-witted parents that don't look twice at the payment system. I don't think you will just throw them your credit card and leave the room, right? Even if they tried to "save" your credit card information, if they made multiple purchases in a row, they will be stopped and disabled from paying anymore. Afterwards, the credit card information will be cleared. I haven't played the game for a while, but it (maybe) has a little popup note asking if you want to set up a parental control system. Anyways, the game is very good and well worth the price, even though non-paying players get less than about 10% of the entire gaming experience. No true gore and violence was in this game, although some of the magical spells have to do with weapons that can inflict a wound but didn't. There are some mild but never bad words, such as "pathetic" and "fool".

Seriously, this is one of the better games to play for family fun. It's easy and fun. I know a 40-year old who still plays it. Some of the minigames help improve reactions and puzzle solving, such as matching and short-term strategy. The main wizard, Merle Ambrose, shows a definite difference between good and evil with his opponent Malistair. However, you can go to a school of death, giving you access to dark things like skeletons, "heckhounds", and helephants. ALl I need to say about the violence is that it's pretty violent. Like the MMORPG AdventureQuest violent.
