How do you deal with sexting?

22% of kids admit to sexting, but 100% of middle and high schools are figuring out how to deal with the issue

As an educator, it's probably no surprise to you that stories about sexting are making headlines this spring. After all, kids have been sexting since text messaging and camera phones hit the mainstream, and schools are often the places where these incidents come to light.

Parents are talking about whether sexting should be illegal over on our parent discussion board, but what about when it comes to the rules and policies in schools?

How has sexting impacted your classrooms and hallways, and does your school have a policy about how to deal with sexting and its repercussions? What’s your personal approach to dealing with the students involved?

Teens should have their freedom, personally I think sexting shouldn't be outlawed (I bet you adults do it all the time), however, its not something I would do, or recommend anyone to do. If someone's life is ruined by sexting, and say it somehow gets on the internet, then its the fault of whoever sent the text. You can go ahead and "sext", but don't go crying when it gets out of your control (Psst, hiding your face would obviously help, just a thought =P ).

No they shouldn't because what happens if you see something you didn't want to see like a boy's private
