Parents need to know that 123 Color: Hanukkah Coloring Book is a color-by-number (or by letter) app based on the developer's original 123 Color HD Talking Coloring Book. Four coloring books (Hanukkah Cartoons, Winter Cartoons, Autumn Cartoons, and Shapes) are provided for kids to color, with their choice of coloring by number, capital or lowercase letters, or free color. Many languages, including Hebrew, are provided as options on this app. The Hanukkah cartoons are fun, not serious, and focus on the events kids tend to think of surrounding the holidays -- eating cookies, getting a "gigantic" present, lighting a menorah. There are in-app purchases on this app, but even though parents will likely want to share their policy on those, these in-app purchases are not as easy to get to as those on some apps, and there's an option to turn them off in the settings.
123 COLOR: Hanukkah Coloring Book is an excellent way for young kids to practice their colors, numbers, and capital and lowercase letters with a bit of holiday fun thrown in for good measure. Surprisingly, an even more interesting feature on this app than the color-by-number and letter choices is the plethora of language choices here, including Hebrew, which helps kids learn the letters and numbers (up to 30) in different languages. The music can get to be a bit much, so it's good that there's an option to mute it. And the safeguard option of turning off in-app purchases is also appreciated.
