Parents need to know that Highlights My First Hidden Pictures is a collection of Where's Waldo-style seek-and-find puzzles where kids search for cleverly concealed objects like birds, hammers, and toothbrushes in busy cartoon scenes. The app allows in-app purchases for additional puzzle packs, but this feature can be disabled in the device's Settings. There are 8 puzzles to start with but more can be downloaded.

Is it any good?

 

From a chaotic vet's waiting room to a science fair where a rat has escaped its cardboard maze and is scurrying along the floor, the colorful cartoon scenes in HIGHLIGHTS MY FIRST HIDDEN PICTURES are great fun. Younger kids will enjoy seeing all there is to see in a scene in addition to hunting for the hidden objects themselves, but older kids will likely tire of the fact that it's always the same list of items to find and they're always in the same places.
