What parents need to know
Parents need to know that iReading - Little Red Riding Hood presents children with a very Grimm -- and grim -- version of the beloved fairy tale. Not only is the violence not sanitized in any way, but some excessive cruelty seems to be added in -- like the hunter shooting the wounded, immobile wolf as point blank range. Of more concern, however, may be the voiceover reading, which is performed with heavy Japanese accents and contains some grammatical missteps that are not in the written text.
Is it any good?
There are several read-along storybook apps available, including multiple versions of this very fairy tale, so its best to avoid iREADING - LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD . First of all, this re-telling of the story may be historically accurate in its disturbing tone and violent imagery, but it feels like a version that would be of more interest to students of folklore than to kindergartners learning to read today. A bigger problem, though, is the difficulty new readers may have following along, thanks to the heavily accented reader and the grammatical errors in the voiceovers. The artwork is admittedly quite beautiful, but making a read along software program in which the written text doesn't always match the spoken words is about as bad as you can get.

itof little red riding hoods unecessary violence i know the real story doesnt end pretty but you give the five year a imagination of happiness and when they get older then you tell the truth but my first language isnt english but i can pronoun english words way better then the person can i wouldnt hand this to anyone who was trying to learn english by reading childhood stories. And not only that you teaching kids at a young age to miss pronounce words no education at all even you trying to tell the real story.
