What parents need to know

Parents need to know that this adventure game based on the movie has shooting and fantasy beasts but is milder than the movie. It's tame enough for grade schoolers but mighty expensive for what it offers.

  • User-friendly screen controls make getting the hang of moving and firing weapons quick work. Cues are good, although we could use more feedback than the health meter for animal attacks.
  • The avatar has a small arsenal at his disposal but spills no blood. Characters only fall and vanish when killed.

Is it any good?

This game is a romp for movie fans, but even they might want to think twice before parting with seven bucks to add this one to their action collection. The still backgrounds and avatars are smashing, and the 3D animation is fairly fluid, especially in the opening chapter. But the quality goes a bit downhill after that. The bioluminescent jungle looks half finished in places, and interactions with the animals are disappointing. Still, it's fun to make the tall blue humanoid run, jump, and explore.

Fun way to pass time. There is blood when your avatar kills a human but nothing to graphic.

fun for a while...
This game is okay. Im stuck on a really boring level though. There is some violence but no blood. Okay for 6-9 depending on your how much you tolerate violence. I would give it an E10+
