What parents need to know
Parents need to know that KIDS MUSICAL WONDER gives kids opportunities to make music on a virtual piano, xylophone, and bongo drums, but the keys aren't very responsive to more agile fingers playing scales and chords. Kids can potentially learn the names of the white and black keys on a piano.
Is it any good?
KIDS MUSICAL WONDER offers several music-related modes and mini-games that aren't terribly well implemented. The virtual piano keyboard squeezes almost two full octaves onto the iPad's screen for kids to tap, but the keys aren't terribly responsive and have a tendency to drop or delay notes when played even moderately quickly. The same problems plague the virtual xylophone, toy piano, and bongo drum. There's also no menu, so the only way to choose a mode is to cycle through all of them.
