What parents need to know

Parents need to know that Putt-Putt Saves the Zoo is a point-and-click adventure game about finding and rescuing lost baby animals at a zoo. The app is designed for kids and is free of offensive content. While not explicitly educational, it does require problem-solving skills and rewards careful observation and exploration. The interface is easy to learn, though younger children may need help solving some of the puzzles.

  • The app is a point-and-click adventure game and allows the player to tap any number of things on the screen for fun effects. The overall goal, saving the animals, can be a little tricky for younger players because they have to piece together the various clues and objects, but the interface is easy to use.

Is it any good?

PUTT-PUTT SAVES THE ZOO brings the classic PC game to iOS devices, and it works like a charm. Putt-Putt is a cute purple car who travels around with his pet puppy. When he goes to the opening of the Cartown Zoo, Outback Al tells him that the zoo can't open because several of the baby animals are missing. It's up to Putt-Putt (and the player) to find the animals and figure out how to rescue them.

The app is easy to use, and the animation is cute and clever and feels like watching a cartoon. There are plenty of things to tap on throughout the game just for fun, but there's also an overarching story to be solved. Younger kids may need help figuring out some of the trickier puzzles, but they'll have a lot of fun exploring the zoo with Putt-Putt.

Brings back childhood memories
I remember the days when we used to boot up the Windows 95 computer so we could play Putt-Putt. I always loved this game as well as the other games from Humongous Etertainment (specifically "Pajama Sam", "Fatty Bear" & "Spy Fox"). One of my favorite parts of this game is you can click almost anywhere to watch an entertaining animation. This game is geared toward younger players so older kids may find it a bit boring, but the young ones will have countless hours of fun with this. Content-wise there is nothing that anyone would consider offensive. Overall, if you have little ones, this game would be a great addition to your game library.

BEST IN GENRE for Quality, Safety and Value.
This award winning game is wonderful for children with adorable characters and rich colorful environments.. It helps develop problem solving and crtical thinking skills. With over 25,000 frames of animation, 3 hours of audio including over an hour of talking characters you won't find another game that comes close to the quality and quantity of content. This is honestly BEST IN GENRE for Quality, Safety and Value.

Fun!
I played on my computer when I was little, and enjoyed it, but the CD got messed up or something and it wouldn't work after a while.
