What parents need to know

Parents need to know that Roxie's A-MAZE-ing Vacation Adventure is essentially one big maze spread out over a dozen or so screens. You'll be challenged to navigate the labyrinthine roadways in order to hit certain star-marked locations. You'll start off in a car, but can hop out at various points to take a foot path or even hop in a boat and head down rivers. There are also a slew of hidden object scavenger hunts to play as you go.

  • Moving around through the mazes is simple enough to do, but finding the right path can certainly pose a challenge.

Is it any good?

Moving around through ROXIE'S A-MAZE-ING VACATION ADVENTURE is so deceptively easy (you just drag your finger along a path) that you won't realize at first how challenging these labyrinths really are. The map has over a dozen different areas, all of which are connected in multiple ways. Each area has its own set of objectives to reach, but you'll often have to leave an area and circle back through several others in order to reach a needed location. Figuring out just how to reach a spot -- avoiding one-way streets, crossing a body of water, moving beyond a footpath where no vehicles are allowed, etc. -- can sometimes take a lot of thinking, but it's always great fun. And the best part is: There's no need to rush through and struggle to hit all the objective points right away. You can simply tool around and explore this massive landscape at your own pace.
