Parents need to know that Speech with Milo: Verbs is an English grammar and speech therapy tool that teaches kids verbs through watching the actions of "Milo," a cartoon mouse. Tap on Milo and see him act out an action like "eat" or "swing." Touch a tab and hear a narrator use the verb in a sentence that may include the "-ing" or "-ed" form: "Milo is swinging at the park." This app is one of a series of Milo apps created by a speech pathologist to help kids learn language skills in a fun, easy way.

Is it any good?

 

For kids who need extra speech help, SPEECH WITH MILO: VERBS can be quite helpful in introducing the concept of action-based words. It will be most useful for kids who are at a stage to be entertained by a cute mouse acting out happy things like "bounce" and "hug" and who need to learn the general concept of action words. Kids looking for practice with verbs as a part of speech, or kids used to playing faster-paced apps, may find this app monotonous.
