Decent
Nothing spectacular, the movie is entertaining but no where near perfect. There is no language, no sex, and some violence. It has a poor plot. The beginning of the story is very exceting but the longer it goes on the more exhausting it becomes.

Boring!
There is a great deal of fighting, but the movie is boring! I watched it with my 3 year old and he was talking about elephants-mammoths. I was only worried he's be scared that the animals would be killed, not the people.

Enjoyable
I will agree that this movie is not historically relevant, but that doesn't mean it's bad. First of all, how many people would you think would go see this movie if it was in some ancient Aztec language? I think the movie directors had them speak English for a reason. Anyway, I thought this was a pretty enjoyable movie. It was fun to watch, and I loved seeing all of the places and costumes. I don't see why everyone hated it so much... but I would give this movie 3 1/2 stars, dispite it being historically incorrect.

Not good, but not absolutely terrible
I really thought this movie was going to be better than it was. While I liked the fact that the main male lead was willing to risk it all for his one true love, the movie other than that just didn't do it for me. The plot really isn't that good, although there's not any bad language or sex in the movie which makes up for it a tiny bit.

Awful movie about cavemen???
WORST MOVIE. The violence is mild and a pointless reason to rate it PG-13. Really dumb.

Not inapropriate. Just bad.
This movie was awful and no one of any age should waste money on it. It looked like some sort of prehistoric Lord of the Rings, but the story sucked, the acting sucked, and had little to nothing to do with prehistoric times (adding prehistoric animals < making up everything else.) Just stupid, avoid it.

First of all, I did not think that this was a horrible movie, but it certainly wasn't mind blowing. The special effects were pretty well done but the story line was lacking. You could tell what would happen in the end. I think the acting in this movie could have been better too. I wouldn't take anyone under 11 to see this movie because it does have some slightly scary elements that might not be appropriate for younger children.

I enjoyed this.
I know this has gotten really terrible reviews, but honestly, this movie is exactly what the previews promised that it would be. If you were expecting anything else, then you didn't really watch the previews.

Terrible, big disappointment!!
This movie was a big disappointment! The trailer makes it seem like this great movie with all kinds of pre-historic animals and something exciting. It had only one scene ( well another tiny one ) with the Saber Tooth tiger that lasted about 30 seconds to a minute ... all the wooly mammoths were cool, but that was it. Aside from those small scenes it was nothing but bad acting and a plotless love story. I was looking forward to something much better! Dont waste your time, maybe on a rental if you are bored!

Great!
I dont get why people don't like this movie is awesome and so what if they got the year 10000 B.C. wrong forget the title. I think most people will enjoy this movie if you forget the title!! Great movie otherwise. Cool special effects

Complete Rip-off
Was expecting some insight into characters adapting in a historical context, instead we got not-very-well-done soap opera with sappy special effects, no character development and unlikely storyline. If it had been titled something like, " Mark of the Hunter", then it would have been consistent and reasonable. Really, really disappointing.

a poor joke of about history
This movie is one of the worst films I have ever seen. I felt like I should spit to get the bad taste out of my mouth. Somebody spent a lot of time with computer animation but it is wasted on this movie. The prehistoric characters speak better English than most Americans. People who wrote history would turn over in their graves.

10,000 B.C. (Basic Cavemen)
Yet another film where Guy meets Girl and wants to win here effection. Has to work very hard to save her. The setting is 10,000 B.C., but it could have been set in any era. Not sure if the film is true to the real conditions of 10,000 B.C., so don't expect to learn anything about the time. Didn't realize how many people know English at the time. (Not)

No offense- a waste of life.
The level of publicity given to this movie was nothing short of amazing, it managed to completely mask the true nature of this film. Let me begin by warning everyone that this review contains spoilers, and that you have been forewarned. So, the movie begins as most bad movies do; with a narration of the basic plight of a small tribe of people. I don't even remember what they were called, the exposition at the beginning was THAT poor. So these people hunt mammoths, etc. That's it. The main character is D'Leh who, as usual, is out to claim his girl... Blah blah blah. Everything is going well when... SUDDENLY and out of nowhere, XERXES attacks! (He's not really Xerxes from 300, just an uncannily similar character with a voice so edited you can barely understand him... Like 300...) D'Leh's little girlfriend get's kidnapped and taken over a mountain range. He and his friends follow, and suddenly find themselves taken from Alaska to the Amazon rainforest in Brazil, getting attacked by giant killer ostriches. They find their way out of a hot and humid rainforest and suddenly end up in dry, arid Africa. After befriending the various tribes situated there, they make their way to the villains' camp, Egypt I believe, where slaves and MAMMOTHS are building pyrimids for an evil long-nailed dude that sounds like he's choking on his turkish delight. Let's see... Uh, D'Leh kills the 'Almighty' boss in a scene VERY reminiscent of 300, in which he throws a spear from 4382470237532890 yards away, in slow motion mind you, and then kills Xerxes. His girl dies from an arrow in her Aorta, but an old lady dies and gives her life... That's... IT. Waste of about two hours of my life...

Nothing to shout about.
10,000 B.C. was just...ok. Not much to the plot, very predictable. But there's no sex or bad language, just some violence....not for younger children. Although I'm not sure teenagers would be interested either. Overall, it's a pass.
