Amazing movie but has everything in it. violence sex tons of profanity and drugs/alchohol. Keep away from kids. 5/5 :)

8 Mile was an entertaining movie for huge rap fans only. Parents note that it is set in the ghetto and if they want to fast forward it is fine.

Okay, first of all, it's a great movie. Second of all, as one person said, this is not about Eminem's life. Third of all, as one person said, Eminem does have a stunning performance. The violence wasn't even scary, and it was very funny!

Ok, I like Eminem as a rapper, some of his music is comical, while some is more serious; but this movie IS NOT a depiction of his life. This is for the most part a fictisious story. I think people need to not judge the movie nessasarily by the false life it portrays, but by the actual talent in the film. Over all it is a good movie, it does have strong launguage that parents will object to, even though kids heard launguage like this in middle school all the time.

well for starters i heard that this movie is not eminem's life.But anyway i think that teens should be able to see this movie because it brings up alot of topics for parents to talk to their kids about i would recomend this movie to any teenager.I am not just sayin this because i am an eminem fan but i think it is a great movie and eminem fan or not this is still a great movie.

In this movie eminem does a stunning preformance. I believe that kids should be allowed to go see it because its powerfull. im not saying this just because im an Eminem fan but because the movie was just that good Ebert and roeper gave it 2 dumbs up and so do I!

I thought that this movie would be closer to the biography of rapper Eminem, but that was a huge mistake on my part. I believe that if I had watched it without that expectation I would have enjoyed it more. This movie is about the woes of a guy in his late teens/early 20's who lives in a poor neighborhood and is stuck at a job that will take him nowhere. As a Caucasian, he is a minority among the African-Americans, but he is a talented rapper and hopes that it is his ticket out. The movie is based around his daily travels and battles between him and other rappers, but the movie just cuts off at what I thought was a climactic part of the movie and does not tell you what happens after that. Kept me intrigued, but left me hanging.

Violence: A lot of fighting, and a person accidentally shoots themselves with a gun. But in all the scenes where someone pulls out a gun (except for one time with a paint gun) they get told to put it away. Sex: A lot of very graphic scenes. Language: Very bad. Commercialism: Barney is seen on TV. Car brand names are said. Scene with groceries, but I don't remember what brands were shown. Eminem is the actor, and his music is all over. It's basically a movie about him, so yeah. Drugs/Drinking: Some smoking, and a woman seems drunk but no drinking is shown. Message: Positive message. Eminem is living in an icky environment but he tries to make it through by not losing sight of his dream and being kind to people who are kind to him. He's very nice to his little sister and is constantly trying to get away from all the negativity. Role Models: Eminem is a very good role model, but most of the others in the movie are very bad ones.

This is not what everyone thinks, its not about eminem (hes just in it). Overall, the main thing to watch out for was the swearing (many f-words). The next thing is a brief sex scene and situations (no nudity). Then there is a scene where someone gets shot and another where they get beat up. Overall it was a great movie

SURE THE MOVING HAS NONSTOP PROFANITY BUT IF YOU LISTENED TO ONE EMINEM ALBUM OU UNDERSTANT THAT THERE TRYIN TO E TRUE TO HIM. PS YOU WILL CRY DURING THE FIGHT SCENE BETWEEN EMINEM AND HIS MOTHER'S ABUSIVE BOYFRIEND SIMPLY BECAUSE IT'S IN FRONT OF A LITTLE GIRL PLAYED BY EMINEM'S DAUGHTER

Psh..really? This movie in inappropriate for kids all ages? I don't think so, I think kids like.....13+ should be able to watch it. JEEZ...it's not that bad.

This Movie is appropriate for all ages

I saw this when I was 12. I liked it then and I like it now. Sure, there's cursing and all, but it adds to the setting. At first I didn't like the ending, but then I liked it afterward, it would have been better than cliff-hangers. I wouldn't let a kid under 14 watch it though, unless they were really mature. Still a really good movie.

i'm a big eminem fan so i had 2 see this movie and my expectations about this movie were right alot of cussin and sexual content i still thought it was preaty good for a drama

This should never have been a movie. I usually hate rap, but Eminem is an exception because he is SO funny. But I got a news flash for you, em YOU CAN'T BE DRAMATIC, IT DOESN'T WORK! But to sum it all up, this movie STINKS

This is a high quality movie! It does show the bad parts of eminems life growing up in a trailer park so its not going to be the happiest movie and there are some things that are not appropriate for kids under the age of 15. But this is definately a good movie.
