Parents need to know
Parents need to know that this is a charming show, somewhat reminiscent of "Thomas the Tank Engine." Brum is a cute little yellow car who keeps the peace in "the big town," London. The stories can be a bit repetitive, but for young children that won't be a problem.
Families can talk about why Brum goes after thieves. Families can also use this program as a jumping point to research the historical sites of London.

What's the story?
Reviewed by Sarah Wenk
Brum (rhymes with "drum") is a cute little yellow car who, at the start of each episode, sneaks out of his garage and drives off to "the big town," London. The car is, presumably, radio controlled, and is amazingly agile and animated. He really has his own personality, and he's game for anything, even ballet class.
Is it any good?
The stories in BRUM: SNOW THIEVES AND OTHER STORIES are narrated by children, and are very simple -- in most of them, a "baddie" steals something and Brum gets it back. The thieves are funny and ultimately harmless, the chases are very silly and chaotic, the sets and costumes are bright and lively, and it all adds up to good entertainment for young children.
