    Great movie for all ages.

This is one of the few animated movies we have come across that has almost no scary moments. There is a scene where two cars are chased through a field by an angry piece of farm equipment (made to look like a bull) and that's pretty much it. Well loved by my child and her cousins.

    My 3yr old's favorite movie!

Great movie for parents and kids. My 3 year old loves it and it is much less scary than Nemo to her. The car races are load with crashes which would be only thing to watch out for.

My son's favorite movie, of course, by also my GIRLS' FAVORITE

Only iffy words I heard were "stupid" and "moron". Depends on your rules. Some homes may accept their children using these words, but some children aren't allowed to say them, much less call someone by one of these names. We choose to address the issue if they begin to use the words, because it is a GREAT MOVIE.

Great for ages 3 and UP!

This is the only movie we let our son watch because it is the only one we have found that isn't violent AND no parents die. The messages about friendship and working together are great.

OK for older ones, not for lttle ones.

A bit too old for little ones. Some sexual undertones in the messages. Some stuff goes right over the head of my 4 year old.

    Great movie

This is one of my daughter's favorite movies. The main character learns that thinking only of himself makes for a lonely life and working with and thinking of others helps build strong communities. The movie is fun to watch for kids and for grown-ups. My only objection is a couple of times they say idiot, otherwise it's a great film.

Help others even if it means giving up what you want

My son can not get enough of the movie, and the lesson Lightning learns is sooo positive. If we watch it at bed time and the kids have to go down before its over I sometimes catch my self not wantting to stop the movie.

    One scary part...

There is one scene that could be a little scary for younger viewers - Frank, a big farm machine, bursts out of a hedge and chases Lightening and his friend. It is only scary because it comes so suddenly and Frank is depicted as a red, raging bull.

Pixar can do no wrong. Emotional, fun, funny, and visually superb anything I've seen outside of the Pixar studio.

Two uses of "Hell". That is the extent of the iffy content in this movie. Previous Pixar films had more peril and frightening moments, but less language that this film. This one has little to no peril, but an ever so slight amount more than the others. I believe that this is the tamest Pixar yet, and is appropriate even for your youngest. This is actually my favorite Pixar so far. It is touching, heart warming, and visually stunning. Pixar is the best animation studio in the world, but the reason their films are the best is not because of their high quality visuals, but because of their great storytelling. People young and old can enjoy this movie. I reccomend it to everyone.

    My son loved this movie!

This was one of the first movies my son watched from start to finish and he really enjoyed it. Its got a very sweet story and gets better as it goes on. Don't be turned off by the noisy beginning.

    Great for our 2yr old

Great movie, good music and not difficult to watch as a parent. Two issues with the movie based on age: - When the main character first gets lost, he frantically drives through town. This is a bit of a "scary" scene for a 2 yr old and we typically skipped it until he got a little older. The two parts I'm not thrilled with: -As he's getting lost, a big truck calls him an idiot. -It's Disney, so everything is marketed like crazy.. shirts, toys, sleeping bags, bed sheets.

A great movie. My daughter at 2.5 loved it. There are some lines that have some inuendo, luckily it went straight over my daughters head. There is some naming calling.

3 year old loves it; lots of name calling

Great movie with themes of the importance of friendship over egotism and winning. Caution for younsters: quite a bit of name calling: "what an idiot!", "turn on your lights, you moron", "you need new tires, you idiot!". We had a lot of talks with our son when he started repeating these lines. Also quite a few sexual innuendos: (1) Mia and Tia, hot twin groupie cars come up to McQueen and "flash" their headlights (clar boob metaphor), McQueen says "it's good being me!" (2) McQueen walks in on Sheriff up on a lift, underside exposed and being repaired, Sheriff says "got a good peek city boy" (3)Von Dutch style tattoos shown by Ramone lifting his rear end and puts it into two minivans faces (4) McQueen sees hidden pinstriping on Sally's rear end causing her embarrassment. Finally, implied bad language, as the "Piston cup" was confused by Mater, who said "he did what in his cup?" (pissed in his cup). Kids probably won't get it, but is interesting that they can keep a G rating. The name calling bothered me more than the innuendo and nothing stopped me from letting my 3-year old watch it a few dozen times.... PS: there is a line where McQueen calls himself a "precision instrument of speed and aerodynamics" and Mater says "you hurt your what?" -- can somone explain this joke?

    Cute, fun movie

This is a funny, cute movie about a rookie race car named Lightning Mcqueen who thinks he's superior to others. Then, he gets stuck in a small town called Radiator Springs and meets a nice guy named Mater. In the end, he learns to care for others, and he learns that everyone is special. He treats others kindly and with respect. Kids will learn a lesson from this movie. I think, though, that boys will like this movie more than girls, since this is about racing and stuff like that. Some things that the cars say are bad, but kids won't even realize it, since it's said so low and it's hidden pretty good in the movie. But still, it's a little iffy.

    Best of Pixar

Pixar has done a lot of cool stuff, but this is just phenomenal! I was surprised by the use of "hell", but the animation is killer!!! The lighting and texturing is amazing and just the movie overall is insane. I love it so much!

    Adorable, Funny, and Sweet

This movie was great for 2-3+. Some comments (such as the already mentioned h***) may bother some parents, but most will go completely over kids heads. If your child is easily scared, though, you may want to wait, because some parts contain large crashes. My three year old cousin adores it, and I think that means it's not to bad. I myself found it really cute, and a great story with characters you cared about, which I think s an accomplishment with cars.
