MY KIDS ABSOULUTLY LOVE THIS MOVIE!

This is one that the whole family can enjoy. These days it's really hard to find any movie that doesn't have any cussing in it, but this is one of them. No violence either. Probably the only reason this is rated PG is because of a slightly suggestive comment in the dialogue. But it's very subtle, so it's probably not worth mentioning.

I loved this movie, the rock was great once again, although it does have a messege and it hits the heart.Exspecially if your in the type of situtation. It is also funny. We laughed and then my grandson...when it got to that point had to tear up and go stairght to his daddy which has custody of him and hugged and kissed and had that tender moment.it was awesome. good job.

LOVED IT
My Husband is a football coach, so our children have grown up around football. My husband and our 6 year old daughter had a date and went to the theater to watch this movie and after the movie was over her reply was, "We have to buy that!" Since the movie came out we have watched everyday. I has a great theme, even if you do not like football. There is a lot of commercialism, but Disney either owns or is owned by the same companies that are in the movie...that would only be natural. Enjoy the movie.

We loved it!
Our whole family loved this movie. The Rock was hilarious, the little girl adorable. We laughed and my husband even teared up in some parts. Kept you interested through the whole movie. The twist at the end was surprising. Defintely a fun, touching family movie. We would buy it on DVD and watch it several more times.

FINALLY! A movie with no inappropriate scenarios.
At last somebody has produced a movie that doesn't act as though a child resulting from premarital sex is just another little hiccup along life's highway. Rock's daughter, about whom he knows nothing, appears unexpectedly, but is the product of a previous MARRIAGE. Hooray! Now I don't have to suddenly explain how this can happen, when the parent has never been married before (several PG rated films released in recent years have unexpectedly included this scenario, as if children will just overlook this little detail. They don't! They want to know just how this can happen, when they have been taught that children come after a couple MARRIES. And any film that presents it as otherwise should be rated PG-13.). Hollywood is attempting to convince our children that marriage is a not-really-necessary little detail, and I, for one, mightily resent it. So this movie, full of positive, appropriate influences, is very refreshing and thoroughly entertaining, with no uncomfortable moments when inappropriate themes are simply plopped down in the middle when it is rated as though it hasn't any. We need to demand that more movies like this are produced! This one's a keeper!

Commercialism!
Way to much commercialism! Goodness! Suggested sex - and the Rock witout his shirt and with his bouncing pecs... The nightclub scene was not inappropriate, but would be iffy for younger kids.

Cute movie, deals with serious issues well
I personally did not like the movie at all theatrically, but my 7 year old son and his 6 year old friend liked it. It was corny, but my son is a sports fan and found it funny. Our family recenlty went through a divorce and death in the family, and both of those issues are part of the plot. A mother dies (revealed in the end), another parent proves to be a bad dat at first, and a special girl teaches her long lost dad to be a good father and tries to solve all of life's problems. Architypical. All of this is handled well, with a classic Disney candy-coated ending, but parents should note the big life issues, commercialism, and real football hits.

Good for almost all ages.
Sex or Language isn't a concern and Drugs and Violence has very little concern. 5 and up.

Best movie for kids in a long time
This was a great movie. I took my five year old son and his best friend (who is a girl and also five). They sat glued to their seats the whole time and they both said they loved it. I think this is a must see movie for any fathers and daughters. It also appeals to little boys because of the rock and the football stuff. It really sends a good message about priorities and making the people in our lives the most important things.

The Game Plan
Sexual Content (Not an Issue): Joe is shirtless in many scenes. Violence (Pause): Peyton almost dies, Joe breaks a rib. Language (Not an Issue): One use of "Oh God". Social Behavior (On): Joe is selfish and egomanic, but he learns the error of his ways in the end. Commercialism (Pause): McDonald's, Sprint, iPods, Sidekicks, Dasani, Chanel, ESPN, Jell-O, etc. Joe and Peyton watch Hannah Montana and The Suite Life of Zack and Cody. Drug/Alcohol/Tobacco (Pause): A party takes place at a bar where adults drink. Peyton threatens to tell the press that she was given a margarita.

Thought it would be worse
I really dreaded seeing this movie, but my child enjoyed it tremendously and I didn't find it that hard to sit through. Very contrived plot. Disturbing revelation that child's mother had died had my daughter (age 7) in sobs and tears. Single moms (I am one) should be aware the story makes much of the "girls need their fathers" theme. However, the movie positively portrayed the father-child relationship. Nice portrayal of ballet as a sport, every bit as challenging as football (which it is!)

I laughed and laughed again!
Our family went to see the Game Plan. My kids loved it, I loved it and my husband loved it. We were laughing nonstop. A trip back to see this movie is in the plans.

Very Very Good Movie
Sad and Good for all ages. Alittle bit of sex talk in the beggining but little kids won't understand it.

OK but drags on...and on....
It's an okay movie, but it drags on... and on...and it goes too off-topic. It's not quite confusing, but it is kind of hard-to-follow at some points. And the mix of Maddison Pettis and the Rock is kind of odd... you almost feel a little uncomfortable. In general, good to see once, but that's about it.

Ugh..
Waste of money, waste of time. Do NOT go see this movie...I went with my older brother and we were bored out of our minds...at least we could make jokes about how bad it was and make fun of the sappy acting...trust me...please do not give disney more money by seeing this movie so they can make more "family friendly", well meaning garbage. please.

Cute kids' dramedy may be too much for sensitive children.
The Game Plan is about a selfish pro football player, Joe Kingman (Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson). Everything in his life seems to be going perfectly, when one day, a little girl named Peyton Kelly (a show-stealing Madison Pettis) walks up to his door and claims to be his daughter, sent to live with him for one month while her mom is in Africa. Peyton and Joe initially don't get along, but they quickly become friends. Tense scenes involve the death of a parent (not seen, just referenced, and we never learn how they die), a girl running away from ballet school to meet her father, and that same girl eating nuts and almost dying (she is allergic to them). This may be too much for sensitive children (I have a high tolerance/maturity level for such sadness and yet a tear fell from my eye and I got choked up by the end of the film). Violence is mostly slapstick, but a character does get seriously injured (he breaks his rib) in one instance. A party takes place at a bar where adults drink, and Peyton threatens to tell the press that she was given a margarita if Joe does not do something for her. Peyton and Joe initially have bad attitudes toward each other. Joe is selfish and egocentric, but he learns to value others more than himself. Joe flirts with Peyton's ballet teacher and he is shirtless in many scenes. This is a great film, OK for kids 7+.

SPOILER! SPOILER!
I loved this movie! But it really isn't for everyone. Sport movie fans might be dissapointed because this is a story about a girl named Payton who tries to find her dad by flying to the city that her father lives in without her parent knowing. When she first meets him, they fight, yell at each other, and Payton is aciddently left at a bar once. But soon, Payton's dad learns from his mistakes and soon become friends. But Payton eats something she is allergic to and can't breate. So they go to the hospital and she is fine. Then her mom finally finds her in the hosbital because of the news telling about how Payton was left at a bar. So her mom takes her away. At the day of the big football game, there team was losing so Payton and her mom went to the game and they won the game ending the story. This is a great family movie for almost everyone. So If your reading this, here is my score from F to A+: B-. Thank you for reading!

This movie blew me away! It was way better than i expected. I burst out lauging many times and I even cried once!It was approprete for all ages exsept for one part were Peyton presses a button in the Rocks apartment and it starts playing a romantice song. The Rock said it was for "Valentines Magic". But Peyton made it funny and age approprite by laughing and giving off that cute little smile.

Stupid is a mean word!
I loved this movie. It was very funny, if not predictable. There were some funny parts, like when the dad and his fellow teammates are watching basketball, and suddenly on the screen it says, "Welcome to the magical world of ponies!" Then the dad tries to change it but it gets to Hannah Montana. This movie is hilarious.
