What Parents Need to Know

About Garfield

Parents need to know that for anyone over age 12, this is a 2 star movie. It may be painful viewing for you, but know that it's only 80 minutes, and it will make your kids really happy. The movie has some comic violence, including a shock collar used on both a dog and a human. No one of either species is seriously harmed. There is some PG-style crude language ("butt," "blow chunks," "suck-up") and brief vulgar humor. There is also some intrusive product placement for Wendy's, though the product that makes the greatest impression is the lasagna.

Good for kids, not good for Garfield Fans

It's not gonna be that great for long time Garfield fans such as myself, as it doesn't much resemble the comic. But kids who aren't familiar with the comic will like it. It's cute.

    Very funny movie!

I love Garfield because Garfield tries to eat a mouse and do lots of other funny things. I like the part where Garfield goes out to save Odie.

Good, but it can't compare to the cartoon show...

This movie is rather funny. Me, my brother, and my mother went to see this on a Thursday after our home-school Gym class, and it made my day. It is a funny, heart-warming comedy from what I can remember. I'd reccomend it. Oh, and I have something to say to people who are reviewing on this site: Please put WORDS in your reviews, and actually say something about the show, NOT like "I have season 1 and 2 on DVD" like someone said. That doesn't help people find out what you think about the show.

I thought it was a little corny................

I say it's ok for 8 and under but I myself found it a bit cheesy and corny there were a few places that made me laugh but a little cheesy.

    it's Garfield

If you read Garfield in the comics; you will see him in the movie. You can predict the movie based on the comic; however, he would not save Odie.
