This was a different film; the plot suggests that it is an adult film, yet the cast and comic violence (which were the only funny parts, and if don't like comic violence, don't rent this movie)suggest that it was a comedy. I'm confused. Is this porn or a comedy? If the creators meant it to be a comedy they missed the mark by a long shot, and if they meant for it to be an R-rated prono, they hit the bullseye.

So Funny, Yet So Filthy... The Definition of a Guilty Pleasure
Okay, let's face it: This movie is funny. What we also should face is that this movie is uncomfortably inappropriate. But, that's the magic of comedian Dane Cook's humor. This film used two things to promote itself: the glamerous beauty of Jessica Alba and the charismatic humor of Dane Cook. That's just the beginning. The film is above sex romp. It's basically almost a comedy porno with heart, making "American Pie" look tame. Things to look out for: Sex... oh, let's just sum it up to a few scenes. The first scene shows 10-year-olds playing seven minutes in heaven. The next notable scene is Charlie having sex with many, many women in a musical montage of sexual acts, sex positions, orgasms, moaning, and gratiutious graphic nudity. Other than those two disturbances, the film is riddled with sexual jokes, sexual comments, sexual discussions, boobs popping out at random, masturbation jokes, a scene where a guy is caught in the act of masturbating, oral sex on a stuffed penguin, a woman with three breasts, and the implication that Jessica Alba's character is using a vibrator off-screen. Violence, just typical slap-stick humor. Language: 74 uses of the "F" word, 33 sexual references, 24 uses of sexual slang, and other mild offenses such as name-calling and mild profanity. Bottom line: This is nothing but adult humor. Not for kids at all. Ages 17+ only. There is a LOT of sexual humor and nudity, but it is all for jokes, yet admittedly inappropriate by all means. 4/5 stars. Enjoy.

Awesome movie with a great message
The film is only R-rated for two reasons. One, the opening scene that contains Chuck as a 10-year-old boy and a 10-year-old girl in a closet playing 7 minutes of Heaven in an adult fassion. Two, there is a 2 or 3 minute musical montage scene of Chuck having rough and stylish sex with dozens of women in dozens of forms. Other than those two scenes, the movie is fine and contains a great message. That message is that once you find that special someone, do not take advantage of them.

Lots of sex, montages of sex scenes, more sex and then sex!
Well, I had no expectations for this movie. I like Jessica Alba and Dane Cook, though raunchy is funny to me. The movie was entertaining but ONLY for adults. I would not let a child see it under any circumstance. LOTS and LOTS and LOTS and LOTS of sex. I literally don't think---even in a PORN movie--that I have seen THAT many naked women! There were so many scenes of naked women and Dane Cook having sex with him (I think he was naked, too, come to think of it, so at least it was fair!)...first there was one scene and then it split like a cell dividing--into 2 then 4 then 8 then the whole entire HUGE movie scene was this montage of sex of different women with Dane Cook. That's literally all the movie was. This must have been the happiest most fun movie the guy will EVER make. It wouldn't surprise me if her WROTE it just to get naked with a million women. I was entertained...it was funny, but no plot WHATsoever other than lots of sex. And that's really all there is to say about it. Oh...one of my 3 kids--a 10 year old daughter---does NOT play spin the bottle or even KNOW what it is and IF she were to find out now--at age 10--- she would NOT want to have sex with a boy. She wouldn't even hold hands or kiss a boy. That was the only thing offensive for me (as an adult watching the movie). Now, my husband was trying to be very respectful of me and not look at naked women, which after a while I said 'seriously....we may as well leave the movie if you are going to look away when a naked woman is on the screen because there were hardly any scenes like that! So...here's my summary. guys are going to LOOOOOOOOOOOOVE the movie. If it is a date night with the wife, make sure she doesn't mind you ogling the naked women, because otherwise it'll be a fight or you'll be looking at the floor for 2 hours. If you're single you'll love it but leave frustrated!! :) I wouldn't allow my kids to see it until, well, college!!!

This movie will make you turn red!
I rented Good-Luck Chuck thinking that the movie was going to be a semi-funny comedy. I actually thought the movie was PG-13, but man was I wrong this movie was flat out embarrassing and I was watching the movie with only my boyfriend and his friend. I had to leave the room and do something to get the awful sex images out of my head. By the way what woman sleeps with a stranger so she can find TRUE LOVE. The sad thing about this movie is that I love Dane Cook, but after this performance I will never look at him the same way.

Wow
I am just amazed at some of the reviews written for this movie, such as the ones "warning" everyone of how offensive this movie is and how the topic is sexually explicit. Did you watch the previews? No kidding, the plotline revolves around a man having lots of sex, and you're suprised that it is raunchy, come on. It was clearly intended to be a more mature comedy. And for the self-ritious reviews calling it "offensive" get over yourself, raunchy is funny to some people, they're jokes, get over it. Dane Cook is a stand up comedian anyways, he makes a living making fun of women, overweight people ect., but they're just jokes, the people he is making fun of are cracking up in the first row. Yes this is inapropriate for young children but funny as heck to the rest of us.

The movie trailers were misleading. I had no idea how raunchy and socially offensive this movie would be. It was a movie for perverts! The few funny lines did not make up for the degree of lewd acts that took place in the movie.

The Worst Movie I've Ever Seen
My headline says it all. It should have been rated X. The story line is horrible. The sex scenes are ridiculous. It's just gross. What was Jessica Alba thinking???? Obviously she wasn't. Hopefully, her involvement in this movie won't ruin her career!

I demanded my money back!
From the beginning, I didn't care for the language. I don't want to see young teenagers "hooking up". Then it got worse, I can't believe this is rated R. The nuditity alone was bad but the graphic sex scenes were unnecessary. I think there needs to be a stronger warning. I was so embarrassed sitting in a crowded theater watching porn. My friends and I had to leave. Parents be warned!

Raunchy
When watching the trailers and commercials on TV for this movie, We, our family 15yr old to 20 year old kids, thought this would be a light hearted comedy. Thus we didn't even think to look at the rating. We took our 15 yr. old daughter. the first 10 min. of movie.I Wanted to leave because of the language of sexual slang in the innocent game of spin the bottle! Our daughter wanted to wait and see where and how Jessicia Alba came into play. so we stayed longer only to get more disgusted with the nudity which was so free flowing and made to be acceptable in the movie. We finally left after our daughter was so disgusted and couldn't believe what she was seeing. These kind of trailers need to really noted as adult audiences only.

Perfecto for.....
A very good movie. I did see it with my parent so that's ok. If you are 14 and under, you should see it with your parent(s). Other than that, VERY GOOD MOVIE! But I say you should be AT LEAST 9 years old to see it. If you are under than 9, DON'T GIVE IT A CHANCE! NOT EVEN WITH YOUR PARENTS!!!! Just close your eyes if your watching it and your under 14. :) That's what I did!! Hope this helps!!

Stop complaining and just watch it.
Im sick of all these stupid parents goin on and on "omg this movie is soooo bad" and "I'd never let my kid watch it" stfu. This is a great movie. Probably the only one i've ever watched alone and still laughed out loud at haha

Pretty much just a big porno...
I admit, some parts were kinda funny, but otherwise, the whole movie sucked big time (all because of the sex scenes and bad acting)!! There was like 20 shots of Dane Cook having sex with women, and lots of breasts. It was funny because me and my friend were bored at a sleepover, and there was nothing else to watch (her parents didn't exactly know we watched it). We ended up being scarred for life, which was kinda hysterical... I don't reccomend you watch this movie. Ew.

EXTREAMLY RAUNCHY but very very funny
this movie is awsome but raunchy it has like 20 sex scenes all within the same 5 minuites ,it all depends on the parent but i think this movie is just fine for ages 12 and up and the only nudity is breasts, and nothing else

Good Luck Chuck is an okay comedy. There are lots of laughs but 95 percent of the jokes are sexual. The biggest problem here is nudity and sex. There is one scene which is borderline softcore porn, i mean it is a very hard R scene I was utterly shocked. Language is as is in any R rated raunchy comedy not a whole lot of profanity but there is a lot more sexual slurs for the female "private" parts. A character in the movie is a pothead but it never actually shows him smoking.

NO
that was one of the worst movies ever

Good luck to all brave enough to sit through this movie...
I went to see this looking for a stupid comedy that kept me entertained for its length. I didn't get what I wanted; this movie wasn't funny at all, and everything about it (except Jessica Alba) was terrible. All the guys were perverts, there was WAY too much nudity, and some jokes were thrown in just to make the movie more dirty. Do not take anyone under 17 to see this!

It was awesome
It was hilarious and not an issue
