Great Movie!
One of my favorites, but soooo inappropriate! But, buy the CD and liston We Go Together, You're The One That I Want, Hopelssly Devoted, and Summer Nights although you might consider it a bit iffy!

Classic Movie Musical about High School Romance!
I watched this movie when I was seven and I always walked around with my hair slicked back and a leather jacket on. I watched it when I had taken adolecensce classes and it made more sense. They don't show anything bad. Making out and some brief language is all you have to worry about. Great Movie for a summer night!!

When I first saw this movie I was 13...
ANd I was SHOCKED. I knew kids who memorized the entire soudntrack in 4th grade and it was one of those movies I knew I'd see, just didn't get around to it until later. I was offended by some of the themes and shocked that it was "acceptable" for young kids! The fact that Sandy has to change herself and darkens up for some guy... and the teen pregnancy. Today I enjoy the film, but I'm 21. I think the themes are not suited for kids under 13.

A CLassic
I grew up wanting to be Olivia Newton-John and watching this movie over and over again; however, once I watched it as an adult, I realized how filthy it really is. Grease Lightening is a foul, nasty song. That said, I think you need to be careful about kids watching it--no matter how great of a movie it is. My son is at the age where he WOULD get what's going on, so I wouldn't want him watching. Perhaps younger kids won't catch onto the sexual dialogue, thereby making it actually okay for them to watch. This definately should have been a PG-13 movie, but they didn't have that rating at the time.

A fun musical, but be cautious.
This is a fun musical, and one of my favorites. However, the message it conveys at the end, that in order to get the boy you love you have to be a "bad" girl and not stay true to yourself, is not a good example for children.

Classic movie rated before "PG-13", keep that in mind.
No doubt about it. "Grease" is a classic. Just a classic that should be showed to people 13 and up. Lots of talk about sex between the T-Pig- I mean the T-birds sadly portray gangs in High School accurately.

Cool
I used to hate this movie but i love it now and personally it wasn't terrible.The boys in the movie are basicly pigs.younger kids will probably not understand any of the bad things but older children will most likely catch it.

Chill out, pick your battles!
It does have a lot of sexual things in it, but I mean, come on, it's classic!!!!!! 11+ should be fine to watch it. I never liked it before I turned 14, but now it's my favorite movie. So younger kids may not even be interested. Chill out, worried parents. I know you're concerned, but I'd put up the battle against the Saw movies and American Pie instead of this one. Something my mom always tells me: Pick your battles!!!!!

Great movie! But not for young viewers.

Grease is suitable for anyone of any age, as long as they understand that they won't be smoking, etc. It is a feel good film.

I first saw this movie when I was 8! My parents are very strict but had seen this movie and thought it was great. I have always loved this movie and I'm sure kids over the age of 8 will too!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My fave movie of all time!
This has been my favorite movie since I was 7 or 8 years old! I don't see much of an issue unless you listen or watch closely, because there are a few thing that would go right over a tween's head if we didn't! This is the best movie EVER in my opinion!

A must-see for the musical crowd!
Compared with some other shows this isn't at all bad. I think most kids 10 and up should be just fine with this; the least mature won't understand it and the most mature will be prepared to handle it. Apart from the sexual content I didn't really notice anything else bad.

awesome
this is a really good movie!!! i watched it when i was 9 or 10 and i luved it!!! There are some iffy things that most kids won't notice, but i think it could have been pg-13. you should probably be 9-10 before you watch it. great movie!!

Great teen movie!
A much watch classic for those teens and even tweens who are ready for something a bit less wholesome than high school musical. Some interesting content but not alot of things that won't go over you tweens head.( they went right over mine!)

Chick Flick
I was in my school's (toned down!) production of this movie, and although I was mad that in Summer Nights they wouldn't let us sing "We made out under the dock" (c'mon, we're 11 - 14) it was tons of fun. The movie was great too, and John Travolta really can dance! It may be awkward for kids under 11 to watch Rizzo and Kenicke making out, although above 9 I'd say it's okay to watch, and they may not get the whole broken condom thing which is good if you don't want them to. Greased Lightning is a very sexual song but you probably won't get it the first time around. The characters smoke, and the broken condom thing is presented in a negative way, not encouraging teens to have sex. Good, moral movie.

I have sceen many movies and Grease is still my favorite. For a 14 year old like me having an old movie as my favorite movie is something you dont see that often. To me that says alot about this movie.
