The best of the best
This could possibly be the best horror film ever made, it is so creepy and the autumn atmosphere pulls you in. There is surprisingly not much violence for a slasher film, but there is some stabbings and a little blood. However, there is a lot of sex and nudity, and teens smoke a joint in one scene. Overall, very good!

Really good movie for 15 year olds!
This movie is really good for mature teenagers that are 15 or older. It contains violence but the volence is not brutal and you see minimal blood. There is violence such as as girl getting stabbed with a kitchen knife but you do not see most of it and it and you do see the aftermath of her on the ground with some blood on her breasts and he chest area. A man slits a girls throat in her car. Most of it is seen through a fogged window of the car and you can't see that much. A teenage boy is stabbed in the stomach and is left hanging there on the door. The killer strangles a girl with a telephone cord. The killer is shot 6 times and falls off a balcony. When they look again,he is gone. There is more eerie music then violence. The is sexual content. At the beginning of the film, the killer walks into the room, and we see the woman topless but we first see the sides of one of her breasts and the killer stabs her a couple of times and she falls to the ground and you see her breasts completely for a few seconds. A teenager is seen only in her panties but you don't see her breasts because she is in the opposite direction of the camera and it is seen from outside. A couple is seen having sex but the are under the blankets but it is still explicit. You then see the woman topless after they had sex and they are probably seen for 10 to 15 seconds when the killer is strangling her. There are some sexual refrences. There is some mild langauge such as the S word, the GD word, and the A-Hole word. There is some drug content such as two girls smoking marijuana. Good movie for 15 or 16 years old.

A True Classic
Not for kids, but I think anyone 15 and up can see it. It's very tame in the blood and gore department, especially compared to today's stuff, but big on chills. It's definately a classic. If you like horror movies, don't just see it. BUY it!! I did, and it was the most worthwhile movie purchase I've ever made!!!!

A classic slasher flick
Lots of boobs are seen. Minimal violence (most is off-screen). Language is not that bad.

the original slasher classic!
Unlike most slasher flicks Halloween relies more on suspense than buckets of blood. There is a bit of nudity, and some bad language.

I gave this a green light for social behavior because it's the nice girl who plays by the rules that survives in the end.

Waaaaay Toooo Scary!!!!!!!!!!
I can tell you right now, don't watch this movie. It's so scary, I watched it a month ago and I'm still having nighmares. This is so scary. Just spooky, to much horror in it. Michael Myers creeps up on everyone, and kills 'em. It's just soo scary. You'll never get his face out of you face at night!

Michael Myers the famous killer
Of course the famous Michael Myers isn't the best role model, he kills people. But really isn't show you it, they leave it to your imagination. Sex is limited, it shows one couple in bed (two teens). Beer, smoking, and drugs aren't seen to much.

classic slasher film that is great for its time content among the violence and sex isn't that bad, but something to look out for when watching it with children.

Good for kids 12 and up
well there isn't much visual violence, but if u have a good imangination it could be scary. The worst part of the movie is sex. There are two somewhat explict sex scenes but there is underage smoking too.

good, but slow in pace
This is one of the first slasher movies, I got it for my 11th b-day so, I watched it, accepted it's slow pace, with too many people scenes, and not enough Michael scenes, and I found it to be very, very enjoyable.

Classic Slasher Flick
One of the greatest horror films of all time. Most of the violence is only implied, but it's still very frightening. A great film.

This movie is good, but really scary. It is not ok for younger kids. I first saw it when I was 13.

Halloween is a great slasher film. It's one of the best ever! What keeps me from giving this movie a perfect score is the lack of blood in the death scenes. Still, the film is really good.

Halloween is the best horror movie I have ever seen
Movie review: Halloween is easily the best horror movie I have ever seen. It doesn't rely on buckets of blood or loads of nudity, it instead relies on terror, suspense, and chills. Just the white mask, the dark settings, and the eery music will give you the creeps. A perfect horror treat to watch on, you guessed it, Halloween. Parental guide: Sex/Nudity: A brief sex scene with two people under the covers, thus not seeing any genitalia. You only see their heads and shoulders. In the beginning, a girl is completely nude, getting dressed but all we see is the bare back, legs, shoulders, and her head. Violence/Gore: Four on-screen deaths occur. The first death involves a male child repeatedly stabbing a female character. We only see the aftermath with only minimal blood. The second death involves a male character choking a female character and then slitting her throat. We don't see what's happening since the camera focuses on the foggy window but it's heavily implied what's happening. The third death involves a male character being strangled to death. We see minimal blood. The last death involves a female character getting strangled by a male character. Profanity: Infrequent uses of godd*mn, a**hole, and sh*t. Mild obscenities and name-calling is heard also. Consumerism: The Michael Meyers mask and costume. Other than that, nothing really. Substance use: A teenager girl shares another teenage girl's cigarette. A teenage girl smokes at her house. Two teenage girls have to hide their cigarettes because their father might see them smoking. Message: Bad. A serial killer that kills people on Halloween night. Rating: Iffy Age: 15+ Recommended for: mature high schoolers.

Good classic Slasher film watched when i was 10
I saw it when i was 10(16 now). Its my third favorite series of the slasher film series(1.Jason,2.Freddy). Really I would say dont let anyone under 13 watch without you knowing fully whats in it.Its not bad but for younger ages it can scare them alot. I had nightmares alittle when i didnt understand the difference beetween real and fake back then.

One of the best hack n slash movies ever.
Halloween is a classic, it's amazing, and it's undeniable one of the best slasher movies. It's scary, very scary, I wouldn't let anyone uner 11 see this. Now, for the content. Language...well the only word i heard was the s-word. And, violence, well obviously it's very violent, stabbings, shooting, slashings, but, suprisingly, the bloodflow isn't really shown. There are tense moments, and I wouldn't let anyone who gets scared easily see this.

HORROR MASTERPIECE
Just great. The sexual content is iffy, because there is a sex scene where you don't see that much, though breasts are almost fully visible. The violence is not over the top blood and gore, but some bad stuff happens to the kids. Drugs are used many times. Even though the social behavior is horrible, the hero doesn't do drugs (she coughs when she tries dope and gives it back to her friend) and is a virgin. Great movie. See it.

A very violent film but not as scary as it seems.
Halloween is a violent scary film, but it is not as scary as it sounds. All Micheal Myers does is kill people and i saw him kill only about 5-10 people but dont watch this film the teens have bad spoiled attitudes but the kids are pretty normal. Do not watch this film if u are not a horror fan! :(

really great horror movie!
this is my favorite horror movie of all time but with good reason. John carpenter just really is a talented director. he's very great with camera movement and things like that. i really do think this is a good movie and should be seen as long as your a person who is very patient with movies or pays attention to detail when watching movies then your in for a really good movie. and i would just like to say that this movie, in my opinion didn't start the whole slasher genre. i would the texas chainsaw massacre did because it was made earlier than halloween and all the other ones.even though it was a true sttory i believe it started it all.

THis is one of the scariest movies ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My friend Ashley saw it, and she said it was way too scary! She told me almost everything that happened in the movie Halloween, and it scared me to death! Now, I make sure all the doors are locked because i am afraid someone like Mike Myers will break in! I dont know how some one could act in this film. I would say this film is for teens ages 15 and up!!!!!!!!!!! But kids watch it anyway, so..........i dont know. But parents beware because you are really in for a scare!!!!!!!!!!!!<:(

I loved it!
Ok..... I know what all parents think about scary movies. Oh, I don't like them because.... I just don't like them. They're scary, violent, and so on. Well, come to think of it- THEY ARE SCARY! Thats what they are meant to be. But that doesn't mean that kids shouldn't be allowed to see it under and circumstances. I saw this movie when I was very, very little. Believe me when I say this: This film is NOTHING compared to modern horror films. This movie is legendary and started a whole new era of horror. This is just a plain original slasher film that in fact was rated R. Again try your kids. Watch the movie with them. Then if they like it (and so did you; think about all the restrictions you made.) P.S.-I am not saying that all horror movies should be allowed to be shown to children.I am just saying that this one isn't too strong.Thank you for your time I hope this helped you to choose a good film
