    Pretty violent movie.

This movie as like most of the die hards contains strong language and violence.

The director's cut of the PG-13 Die Hard

John McClane returns in the modern-day Die Hard. This is a review of the Unrated cut of the film: The profanity count is over 100 in this film. Numerous uses of f--k and other profane words. Sex is not an issue. Violence, as usual, is strong.

    Action-Packed

This was a fast moving, action-packed movie. My husband and I both loved it. Our 15 year old daughter didn't care for it.

A great movie, but a little violent...

The fourth installment in the Die Hard series lives up to its name. Although not as good as its predecessors in my opinion, it is still worth your time. I think that the reviewer before me gave this movie a bit too harsh of a review. For example, the ONLY mention of drugs in this film is when a character is being treated for his wounds by a paramedic. The other reviewer "red-flagged" this. I would disagree. But, this movie still does have its share of violence. There is frequent killing, and high-octane action. But it is relatively bloodless compared to any of its predecessors. Bruce does use his catch phrase, Yippe-Ki-Yay M******f*****, but the word f***** is partially covered by a gunshot. Overall, this movie impresses me. I would recommend it for kids age 13 and up, just as the rating suggests.

    My concerns are:
    • Excessive violence
    • Inappropriate language

    • My highlights are:
    • Positive messages

This movie is very intense lol. But what i noticed during the movie was that most of the time somebody got hurt really bad, the director made it seem as though they were OK. Like for example when the traffic signals were being controlled, the bus hit a taxi cab and Bruce Willis ask the taxi driver "Are you ok? We'll get you a medic" and also when he was fighting the guy in the stairway, he made him talk on the walky talky, he shot him, and then said "I'll get you a doctor" So im guessing that the director had pity for some of the characters that were attacked. P.S the movie would have been better if they kept the terrorists anonymous to keep the movie more suspenseful. Just my opinion

    My concerns are:
    • Inappropriate language

for at least 12 year olds

I thought this was a pretty good movie. But I saw the unrated version and in the unrated version they say the f-word 15 times. But otherwise it's not that bad.

    Perfect for 12+

Well, Great Movie and plot. But a little bit of an Apocolyptic feeling. Lots of Violence (but nothing a street-smart teen (most teens are, btw) cannot handle. They would find it entertaining). Lots of Hard Language. I don't think SC is a problem. No Drinking/Drugs besides a perscription drug being used properly.

    OMG!!!!!!

THIS MOVIE WAS AWESOME!!!!!There wasn't anything for parents to really get mad or worried about because the cussing wasn't that bad, no sexuality,(exept the beginnnig where the daughter is maken-out with a guy). Bruce Willis does a very, very good job in this movie.

    Good sequel

Bruce Willis has done it again and had dies even harder in this new movie. There was a lot of violence in this movie and Willis' character always seems to be blowing something up. Justin long does a good job with his character, although there is quite a bit of language. Overall, this was a good film.

John McClane is back and better than ever, baby!

For all of those haters who thought that the first non-R-rated Die Hard would be too wimpy, you guys are way wrong, because this one pushes PG-13 to the limit, thankfully! I actually think this one was better than the other 3, but in a VERY close second is the classic first. So everyone that misssed this, go check it out, because it really rocks! PS Kudos to up-and-coming star Justin Long, the hardcore ninja girl, and acting vet Bruce Willis!

    Best Die Hard ever

It's true, this is the best Die Hard movie so far. However, parents should be concerned about the violence, because there is a high amount of if. Plus there's a scene related to sex. Although it's not graphic your kids will get the idea. The swearing isn't much, but there its still there. Overall take my advice and go see this.

    best one yet!

I thought this movie was the best in the Die Hard series. mostly its just a action fick. i think the biggest issue here is all the violence. as in the other die hard movies bruce willis is covered in blood and really bad injuries. he even destroys a helicopter with a car. and then theres all the people he kills, i lost count. Also the language is pretty frequent, f**k s**t are the most used. Personaly i would put it at action/comedy, i thought it was pretty funny myself. Anyway, overall i think that its apropriete for kids my age, but i don't know about any younger.

    yipee kayai

i was slightly disappointed with the lack of F--k (s) (there were 47 in the first one.) and blood. otherwise an amazing movie with lots of good violence for the summer season. good for anyone over 9. i saw the much (content) worse 1st die hard when i was around 8-9 and turned out just fine. and parent your kids wont learn any new bad words from this. and1

    Awesome movie!!!!!!!!

There is lots of violence in Die Hard 4 of course but there is minimal blood. This is great because it can be pg-13 and more people can see this great movie. Lots of language including mostly s--- and a-- but a few b-words as well. So there is lots of violence, minimal blood, and there is a lot of swearing. Overall, a great addition to the Die Hard series!

    Amazing!

This is the MUST SEE summer action movie! I'm a big fan of the "Die Hard" series, and this one tops them all! Although it is a little disappointing they left out the "Yippie-ki-yay, motherf---er!", the action DEFINITELY made up for it. I'd have to say this is the most intense/violent PG-13 movie I've seen (that's why I gave it a red mark for violence, not because there's much of it; but because it's crazy that it's PG-13 with this much violence). There's several explosions, gun fights, and one or two fist fights. I'd say this is okay for 13+ because most of the violence really comes from explosions. Other than a few "s--ts", "d--ns", and "a--" there's really nothing questionable. Go see it. Now.
