Hilarious, but racy
My husband and I laughed more during this movie than any that we've seen recently. Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymore are great together, and have some great one-liners; that part makes it one of the cheeziest, but greatest movies that we've seen in a long time. However, anytime Cora is on the screen, it is pure filth. Every time she's on, my husband had to look away, and I was disgusted by the noises coming from the screen - more than just a few sexy noises, it seems more like flat out porn. Sad that they can take a great movie and make it disgusting with trash like that. Watch out for teen girls - they will think that it's cool to act like Cora.

Good movie.
I think you could take your kid to this movie if they dont repeat anything Sexual you could take your kid to this movie. Cora was the part that made Music and Lyrics PG-13 if it wasn't for her it would have been PG.

Hugh Grant plays Hugh Grant in a classic romantic comedy!
This is a fun romantic comedy - nothing more, nothing less...exactly whay you'd expect. Hugh Grant plays his normal, charming role, and women (like my wife) will love it.

Fun Movie
My family and I really enjoyed this movie. It was predictable, but fun. There are no major concerns with this movie and my 12 year old daughter laughed a lot.

Awesome!
Sexual content? That's good one. There's no sexual content at all. Just a little mild language. The movie had such a good story, making it awesome! And to be honest, I think it's all PG content okay for anyone 8+.

A sweet, funny film
My husband and I took our 12 year old daughter to see this film on Valentine's Day. My daughter and I had a great time, but I think my husband was a little bored. The film has some wonderfully funny scenes, and some delightful, winningly romantic songs (and one or two quite amusing ones). Hugh Grant is funny in a whole new way in this film - the opening credits are worth the price of admission. I would recommend this film for families with older tweens and teenagers. My daughter rates the film as "awesome".

e.g. Perfect for older kids, but not for tweens
One of my favorite romances. (: Really really good movie.
- I rate this title iffy for age 12 and give itMy concerns are:
- Inappropriate sexual content
- Drinking, smoking, or drug use
Funny, but bad
I love this movie and it is one of my favorites. However, there is a ton of sex. Cora, (think Hannah montana x-rated) "dirty" dances while scantily clad. The two main characters sleep together, too.

a great feel good comedy ok for the whole family
this is a happy feel good movie that is fun and inviting with the exception of a few questionable dances from the musical artist cora.

I loved it! Hilarious!
The film Music & Lyrics is one of my favorite movies. The plot is great even though it is sometimes predictable. I rented it and watched it 2 or 3 times and it will definitely be on my Christmas list this year. It is a outstanding romance/comedy with a great ending from my point of view! P.S. If you watch this movie watch the credits and in the music video read inside the little bubbles. (you will know what I mean if you watch it!) HAPPY WATCHING!!!

One of the best Movies I've seen in years!
I loved this movie. I took my girlfriend to see this the day it came out and we both thought it was a fantastic film. The only iffy thing for younger children is Cora but she's not a major part of the movie. Definately a must-see romantic comedy!

LUVED IT!
So basically this was one of the best movies personally i've seen all year. everything bad was based on the pop star because she was very revealing and somewhat of a blonde. i thought it had a sweet, humorous, romantic, flair that really made the movie superb. and drew barrymore and hugh grant worked together beautifully i would love to see them in another movie together.

a good teen movie. fine for ages 12 and up
parents should know that, this movie is fine for ages 12 and up. it deserves it's pg-13 rating, but just barley. most tweens fill want to see it, and chances are you can let most of them see it. there is some brief profanity. Alex and sophie sleep together, but there is no sexual tenshon. a pop diva proforms, and it gets a little wild. a woman tell her husband to take the kids and leave, but he is enjoying the concert.

I really liked this movie... HOWEVER...
Like I said, I really enjoyed this movie, particularly because I am a vocal major. HOWEVER... there are references to Sophie's (supposed) "sleeping around to get what she wants". There are lies, and Alex shows no trust in Sophie. They have sex that was described as being "strictly business". Cora is highly sensualized, and looks twelve. Sloan almost breaks Alex's arm, and Sopie's (married) sister is completely enamored with Alex. However, despite my negativeness, this was a good movie. Drew Barrymore and Hugh Grant were a great casting pick, and yes, that actually is them singing. Sophie sees the good in people, and Alex actually has some character developement. Cora has a heart at the end, and family always comes first. Overall, a good movie.

I loved it!
The movie was great. It was funny and interesting. I think they did a great job making the music videos like the ones from the 80's. I think the movie sends a great message and it is probably good for kids 9+.

hilarious!
Thsi was definately one of the funniest movies I ever saw, especailly during the credits where they were doing a pop up video and it said "Alex's hip appears to be fine." Great feel good movie you can watch with your family and friends.

A HUGE HIT!
This movie is brilliant! With a hit cast, I do not think that there is anything to be worried about this movie, except for a couple of sexual reeferences which are funny. Overall, it's a great movie, a must go, and a great way to spend kissing for 100 minutes.
