What Parents Need to Know
About Saludos Amigos
Parents need to know that kids will see some smoking and (apparent) drinking. Brazilian parrot Jose Carioca smokes a cigar. In one of the documentary scenes, we see Walt Disney himself smoking a cigarette. While in Brazil, Donald drinks some cachaca which, based on his reaction, appears to be alcoholic. There is also some mild slapstick cartoon violence. Donald falls down a chasm. In another scene, Goofy accidentally eats the tip of his knife.
