    • My highlights are:
    • Positive messages
    • Good role models

    Perfect for small children

You kids just gotta see this!!!! The message is very simple:stay in school and dont do drugs. Regaurdless of the rating, which is because a man slaps another man, there is no language or sexual content in the whole movie. There is a scene where a man tells some lady to shut up, but he later appologizes. Gotta see it!!!

If hat I put down somthing that says says 13 or 14+ than don't look at that

Silence of the lambs is a 15 and older film. You will break your kid if there any younger and wath the entire seen. Violence: None really in the firt half but they have a gory investigation on a woman we think she was raped,Later in the movie Hannibal brutaly beats two cops for 5 minutes and than eats them and wears there skin and also guns, blood, kidnaps etc.SEXUAL: Hannibal makes grapic lewd comments about a senator and one of them is "Did your daughter suck on your t**s and did you breast feed her. You see a females bare breast just at a glimpse and you see a male makng a pornographic video of himself and says many times he would f*** himself and you see him full frontal. LANGUAGE: 20 f words,10 sh**,50 other profanities, and 100 other milder profanitys. Don't get me wrong it's a great film but be MATURE FOR THIS ONE. It was nominated for 6 oscars and won 5 I know that means nothing to you but it's a good twisted film SEE IT!

    It is okay

The movie was slow. It had barely no violence, but Buffalo Bill is a psycho.

e.g. Perfect for older kids, but not for tweens

It's very insulting to homosexuals, and much of Hannibal Lecter's magical brilliance remains unexplained and somewhat impossible. Still, it is an improvement on the horror films of the 1980s.

    one of my favorites

The silence of the lambs is one of mny favorite movies. Anthony Hopkins' interpretation as Dr. Lecter is just amazing. Jodie Foster is also a great actrss. I read the novel before watching the movie, and I prefer the novel, it's quite better, but anyway, the movie is great, I rate it 8/10

Great Movie! One of the Best!

Great film. Some very creepy characters but they are intersting to watch and keep you on the edge of your seat. I love how Lecter, Anthony Hopkins, plays mind games with Clarice. I could watch this movie a hundred times and not get bored. "It puts the lotion in the basket. It does this whenever it's told. It rubs the lotion on it's skin or else it gets the hose again."- Buffalo Bill

    Antony Hopkins is the man

This is one of the best acting displays ever made by a human being. Anthony Hopkins plays the legendary character of Hannibal Lecter. Did you know that Anthony Hopkins never blinked in any scene in this movie? He is pure genious. The way he makes his voice chilling and lifeless just for the character is beyound human understanding. This movie is based off the amazing book by Thomas Harris. It takes you down the path of the mentally insane and how insane you have to be to catch a serial killer. Jodie Foster plays a young trainee at the FBI acedemy, eager to rise ahead and work in behavioral science, she gets called to talk with the cannibal and genious, Hannibal Lecter. There she learns all about his amazing past and he analizes her's and they create the most unique friendship that gives her advancement in the biggest serial murdercase of her time. Thanks to Lecter(Anthony Hopkins) Clarice(Jodie Foster)can do so much but can she keep Hannibal Lecter out of her head and how long will he haunt her and her dreams? That is mainly what Silence of the Lambs is about. It is a fantastic movie one I loev. The book is also fantastic so I highlt suggest reading all Thomas Harris's books because he is an amazing author, who will give you a hole new view of the human mind. But above all Silence is a terrific movie!!!

    Not Scary.

Me and my Grandma watched this together and it was kind of dumb. If you are a beginner at watching horror movies, this would be for you. But it is not at all scary for me.

    Brilliant

This movie is very interesting, to really look at the mind of a canablistice serial killer. It looks at peoples minds and the killer is very clever unlike others who just carry around a hatchet and go after people, it has some violence but its not that bloody, and there is a lot of language but not any worse than to be expected of an r movie. Don't watch this alone and i would say 13-14 + is good depending on their maturity level. Good Movie, gives you a scare and makes you think!!!

Not for the faint of heart

Overly gory movie. I wouldn't reccomend this for anyone 16 and under. The only reason I saw it was for a scary movie night, and that was THE biggest mistake of my life!!!

    great movie. kinda disturbing though..

i saw this movie a few days ago because a friend recommended it to me and i do not regret watching it at all. this movie is a masterpiece and was put together very well. there were a couple of iffy issues in this particular movie, such as the gender-confused serial killer Buffalo Bill kidnaps plus size woman and starves them, then when their skin is loose enough, he cuts it off so he can make a "woman suit". there is one very disturbing scene where Buffalo Bill is putting on makeup and jewelry while he is naked, and he says about 10 times in a row, "I would f**k me," and then he gets up and you see him in full-frontal nudity, but he tucks his penis between his legs so you do not really see too much. there are a lot of references to cannibalism due to the fact that there is a cannibal in here. there is only one scene where you see Dr. Hannibal Lecter(the cannibal) eating a human. it isnt too bad but its still distubing and gory. the cursing in this movie wasnt as bad as i thought it was going to be. the language ranges from c*nt, to f**k, to others i cannot recall. all in all, this movie is a bit mature for some audiences, so i would reccomend this movie to audiences above the age of 16.

    disturbing but brilliant

i can completely understand why this is considered a classic by some. even though i walked away from the movie disturbed and creeped out, it was also thought provoking. anthony hopkins was absolutely brilliant. i'd suggest this movie for kids 15+, and parents should watch it with their kids if they're anywhere from 13-16 depending on their maturity level. but don't watch this movie alone!! :)

    Great Movie

This is one of my favorite movies atlthough the violence is pretty bad i thought the movie was amazing CSM over did it a little bit when they talked about the sexual content it wasnt that bad except for one part at the beging when Clarice is starting to walk away from Hannibal's cell so you might want to fast forward it there. the language is a little bad. over all its a masterpiece.

    holy crap!

A very good thriller/horror movie. For once a killer is actually smart. I hate in other movies when killers are just complete idiots that just go around with an ax and chop peoples heads off. Hannibal is very clever and resourceful. Its a very gross creepy movie but plot wise a very good movie!

The stuff that keeps you awake at night

This is one of the most brilliant movies ever made, and it's the kind that is not only scary while you are seeing it, but also sticks with you long after it is over and scares you. The movie is done excellently. For about the first hour or so, most violence is just discussed, and there is a dead body that has been underwater for days. Kind of gross, but not really by today's standards. Howvever, in about the last half hour, it's pretty violent. Muitilated bodies, people shot, stuff like that. Also, some scenes have a lot of tension (at one point, I was yelling at the TV, haha). There is stuff that is sexual, and CSM pretty much said it all for that. I think this is not for kids because of the intensity and all around creepy-ness. But if you're old enough, I highly recommend seeing it. It deserved the Oscars that it won.
