Follows the book!
This is one of the few Alice in Wonderland movies that includes actual book scenes (the Griffen, white knight, Mr. Mouse), that most other movies leave out. Apart from Alice not using much by "thank you" (common to the book too), there is not much by concerns for violence that cannot be easily explained to a child concerned about it. My 4YO loved it and was entertained by the tale of Alice (he did a good amount of talking and questioning for his own self-reasoning). Comprehension of the story and book relations I would say 3rd-4th grade (8-10 YO) start without talking with kiddos to explain. Great cast too for parents to enjoy as well, and alice uses reasoning-great for common-sense teaching points.
