the best of many
this is the best out of the many barbie movies that have been made. It is a very cute and creative stroy that young girls will love! My only concern is the vilonce and very sad moments. The evil lady who comes to the barbies castle is mean, selifish, cruel, and very little girls might find her kinda of scary due to how she acts and the fact that she posions the girls father. Overall the movie is good and somewhat kid friendly. Just bare in mind this isn't for 3 year olds.

I have a little sister who adores this movie. she LOVES the parrot and the violence isn't all that scary. she dosn't ask any questions which means she understands the plot. i think your kids will love this movie.

A LITTLE SCARY
Most little girl 4 year olds will want to watch this movie but i would recomend watching it with them because there are some places where this movie can be a little frightening.

these movies are stupid.
personally I view barbie movies as one big commercial for the toy itself. also why parents would buy their kids this toy is beyond me. it gives kids delusions of what they look like when they grow up. good social behavior isn't enough to cover up a bad influence. once a child sees the movie they will be inclined to buy the toy. all in all pass. show your kids something from disney that isn't based on a toy. there are still plenty of princess movies out there just try to pass up ones that will influence your kids to buy the toys or make them want to buy the toys. also I think parents should show their kids movies where some of the goodguys aren't brainless. if the king had any smarts at all he'd know the duchess was poisoning him

Fav movie
Epic movie. made me cry 5 times. This will be very scary for anyone under the age of 17. has a touching message. But families need to watch out! sometimes Barbie wears a dress!!!!! Also the word "hi" is used strongly so i would caution. Barbie also drinks a cup of something. She seems a bit tipsy afterwards. There is some intense violence between the monkey and cat!!!!!!! COVER YOUR CHILDS EYES!!!
