great movie
danny devito and michelle pfeiffer are excellent in their roles and give some of the best performances theyve ever given
I did not like this movie. While it is well-made and has a fascinating villian, Catwoman, it feels like it just stepped out of a Halloween costume catalog. The movie is so dark and wierd that it comes across as fake. Plus, the movie feels so hopeless and is so full of despair that all the fun has been sucked out of the Batman franchise. Penguin was gross and despicable, I just wanted him to die. Catwoman was interesting but the movie wasn't really about her.
I have to give it credit for being well made, but Batman Returns was overly dark, overly stylish, and no fun whatsoever.
Fist saw this when i was 7. although this is one DARK film, this did not scare me. But there was a scene I did not like, I would cover my eyes when it came on, where Penguin bites an annoying mans nose and blood flies a bit. but, saying that, it only lasts about a second.
I also was not keen on seeing the Penguins bile spewing corpse underwater at the, end, gross, but not scary.
The "charred" corpse looks cartoony.
Catwomans come have sex with me thing went over my head.
This film other than the aforementioned did not bother me and I watched it through my childhood.
The first Batman was amazing in it's dark humor and action scenes...But it's sequel? Amazing.
Tim Burton comes at us in a dark fashion, showing us that Batman has a dark side and this one isn't using "The Force" to get our attention!
There were many things that I can agree with that it wasn't as great as it's predessor, or even as great as the third, but there was Nothing wrong with Batman Returns! (My suggestion is that it's for 10+)
And there are NOT bodies everywhere! There is maybe one dead body throughout the whole movie!
