This is a great family comedy without the Adam Sandler crudeness and profanity. This is a mild Sandler comedy which is very rare. So, I recommend you rent this movie to watch with the family.
Your Child is supposed to be Mature to watch this movie without copying the What To Watch Out For stuff!
As long your child is mature...My only concern is ones that are first grade and under are stupid and they think doing the bad stuff are cool and going to be in jail by Cops, Criminals, and Robbers and this is definitley not PG! It should be PG-13 to R. Tell Mom and Dad which parts were appropriate for anywhere and I'll rate it Iffy for anywhere 8-18+.
Should be Third Grade and over...too Questionable for a Second Grade.
Adam Sandler is best known for making movies for the teen-adult audience (The Waterboy, Happy Gilmore, The Wedding Singer, etc.), but this time around he tries his luck at family comedy. In a whole, he fails. First of all, the movie can be fun for the kids and maybe a few preteens, but the plot is boring and there are too many snot jokes. For instance, one gross character is called "The Booger Monster" which will probably make the kids laugh. Older viewers will probably dislike Bedtime Stories, unless they can dig up the timely message of love and compassion under all the lousy humor. As far as content goes, there are some violent sequences, a few curse words, and fart jokes. Kids might be scared of a scene where a woman is surrounded by poachers. Best reserved for ages 6+.
i saw this thinking it would be bad, but i really enjoyed it. not much innaproprite things, except some gross humor. 10+ because kids under will get bored
Bedtime Stories is a really nice family movie! It uses lots of imagination that kids can relate to such as raining gumballs, aliens, and more. It does have some flirting in it and if you believe that's a little over the top for your child, just speak to him/her about it, or you can always fast forward it. As someone else did say, Adam Sandler is better at comedies for pre-teens and older. But this family movie is pretty good if you can let yourself go and remember how you used to be when you were a kid.
i think this movie is rather childish and silly (but not in a good way) There's lots of crude humor and some language that is unsuitible for young kids like "butt kiss" "shut up" ect. I think most YOUNG kids will enjoy but older kids will find themselves a bit bored and dissapointed with some parts of the movie. There is also some vilonce that is unsuitable like: too kids almost get blown up, some vilonce during the bedtime stories (but most of the vilonce isnt for scares it's for laughs) so just bare in mind before you take really young kids to see it (6 and under) or much older kids to see it (9 and up) bare in mind that it isnt a very good movie to begin with and there is some questionable content.
Adam Sandler is now taking his comedic and comical career to a lower bar. His first PG-rated Disney film, "Bedtime Stories," is fun, funny, cute, and a whole lot of laughs! I wasn't disappointed!
This is a really good movie. Probably Sandler's mildest movie ever! There is mild kissing, bikini's and such, but nothing too bad for kids. My brother loves this movie, and so do I.
