Good For All Ages (Depending on what you think is a little kid movie.)
I found nothing wrong with this movie. I went to see it in theatres when I was 8 and I'm a month away from being 11 and I'm always happy to watch it. The fire scene is nothing to be worried about, in my opinion.
I think 3+ would be good, but, maybe 4+ for the mild peril.
I'm pretty surprised it was rated 'PG'. Think about 'The Secrets Of The Nimh'. It was only rated G, and it's very bloodshed.
Dissapointed at Disney for being so bloodshed not to keep the fight scene with Bolt and the other dogs. A much better way in my opinion for older kids for Bolt to find out he has no powers.
As you can probably see fron my avatar, this is my all-time FAVORITE movie! Bolt makes for a good role model when he proves his loyalty to penny by rescuing her in a dangerous real-life situation. I really do want to see more of "The Bolt Show" - the one on TV. As of now, I'm hoping for a sequal!
This is the best strictly Disney CG animated movie made. Now unfortunately I haven't seen it in a while so I can't go into detail, but the animation is spectacular, the action is high flying, is good for kids and adults, and above all it proved that Miley Cyrus can act; a huge accomplishment.
This movie shouldn't be watched by any kid under 6 for the violent scene at the end with Penny and Bolt. That one scene influenced the whole movie to be PG for me. If your under-six-year-old kid loves action or suspence, then this is the movie for them. If not, don't hesitate to ignore.
I really liked the movie and agree with all that you have said, but to be honest I can't believe that nobody has said anything to Mittens story and it isn't even mentioned at the top. I think it is very sad because this happens to many animals, not only to cats or dogs. If kids want an puppy, a kitten or anything like that for christmas, you must be willing to care for it too, cause usually after christmas when the animals have grown, children don't want them anymore cause they have grown and they are too much work. I'm not saying that every child acts like that but many do..
That's why I was surprised cause these things MAKE ME SO ANGRY!! .. Sorry :D
Bolt follows the Disney-Pixar brotherhood's classic tradition of making movies with drama, comedy, and adventure almost perfectly. The movie is very heartfelt while having its gallant, super-heroic fun, while still being age-appropriate, while this is also hindered during the dangerous fire scene. Something kids would want to watch with their families, and something that they would definitely root for.
it was more successful than the "Princess and the Frog," a traditional animated movie released by disney a year after this movie. It also got a higher rating a Rotten Tomatoes. I'm simply praying that disney doesn't realize this (then again, they ARE releasing their first CGI fairy tale, Tangled in
November -_-...) ANYWAY, this movie is great and I recommend.
I <3ed the movie it was great! umm... i think it teaches kids that adventure is always right in front of u and u gotta keep on trying to do something that u believe u
the dog is trying to find the evil guy the green eyed man but it turns out it was only a hollywood tv show on the way he meets a cat and a hamster he has to go through a building that blows up and there's a building on fire but no one is killed
Great movie! Love it! Families should watch this! Some things to keep in mind: While the violence is all very cartoonish and never seems real, there is a scary looking character in the movie with a snake eye. It might freak out little kids. A few brands are shown, but some are not recognaizable. If you are looking for a good famiy film, this is your ticket.
A good disney classic, an huge improvement over chicken little, and the first good 3D animation disney movie
This is a very good movie. It does improve over Chicken Little like visual, story, script, and humor. It's good because the dog is a little stupid, but the fire scene kind of scares me. I like it. I highly recommeded it
