Kid reviews for Breathe

I went into this film thinking it would be a soppy high school drama about falling in love with your best friend...Oh boy was I wrong . This movie very closely follows the relationship of two high school girls charlie and Sarah. Sarah is a extroverted outgoing girl and quickly catches the attention of charlie. At first their relationship is really good but soon turns extremely toxic. After charlie confronts Sarah about her mum, Sarah starts badly bulling Charlie, you start to get the picture that Charlie is possibly in love with Sarah and can't let her go even though Sarah treats her absolutely horribly . The ending to the movie is quit horrible and really made my heart beat. It also made me question my morals as even after the ending my loyalties were still with Charlie which probably isn't a good thing. There is a lot of drinking and smoking in the movie and some talk about sex and loosing your virginity. Although that is all expected considering it is a high school set movies and I would say a 13-14 year would be fine watching that sort of stuff BUT as I said before this isn't a normal high school romance and has a very dark side to it which explores how far people can go when driven insane by people they love so I don't recommend this movie for anyone under 16 unless they are mature. Please note that this movie also contains abuse and alcoholics so if you are bothered by that sort of thing please don't watch.
