I think Bride of Chucky was a stupid cheesy sequel to the child's play franchise. In Bride of Chucky Brad Dourif once again lones his voice as the very famous Chucky who is brought back to life by his obbsessive lover(Jennifer Tilly) Tiffany. In my opinion this was very good.
Godd. Type-O. I meant:Good, but DEFINITELY not Great. See? Type-O...or was it?
So...well, as the 4th in the series it's pretty good. They realized they'd done all they could with Andy. "So now what?" one writer, Tom, asks. "Hey! I got an idea!!" shouts the other. "Well, please, enlighten us, Mark." "What about a spin-off?!" Mark suggests. Tom snaps his fingers, "Perfect!!!"
Smart. A spin-off to save the series from self-detonation. Not too shabby. Good movie. Worst violent scene happened in motel-water bed/mirror. Worst sexual scene...those who've seen it. Chucky and Tiffany...nyeh. We only see shadows. "Unh, unh unh. WAIT!" Tiffany says in the middle of intercourse. "What!!" says Chucky. "Do you have a rubber?" Tiff...I'M ALL RUBBER!" Chucky replies. "Oh, yeah...wait...I thought you were plastic?"
Not as funny as CP3, better than it though. as is better than CP2. Almost as good as CP, but not quite. Also some strong language sort of deteriorates into the script from now on. Positive? This is Romeo & Juliet. No, not between Chucky and Tiffany, but Jesse and Jade. Two young lovers who are unfortunate to be caught between the dolls nefarious plot. Also they make sacrifices for each other often. Also, it OBVIOUS all Tiffany wants-other than sex, murder, and become human again-is commitment and true love. But, you came to see Chucky. You didn't come for that positive crap, huh? Well, you should you jerks!
JK! =)
It is funny, even though Tiffany was a serial killer she still gave the main character [not Chucky] a good message. It was funny! Only warning is that the dolls have intercourse and you see a doll's buttocks and you see their shadows through a curtain, but 13yrs. old have seen worse than this.
BRIDE IS DEFINETLY THE BEST IN THE SERIES THE FILM IS A BLACK COMEDY. THE SEX IS EXTREME BY THAT I MEAN THERE IS NOT ONE SENTENCE WITH OUT SOMEKIND OF SEXUAL INNUENDO. MY MOM WHO HATES HORROR FILMS GIVES THIS FILM A B+ THE FIL MSUCCEDS IN THAT IT'S SO SILLY THAT YOU CAN'T TAKE IT SEROIUSLY WHICH IS THE FILM'S BIGGEST STRENTH'S MAKING THIS FILM A REMINDER AS TO WHY WE WATCH CHUCKY AND WHAT HE HAS EVOLVED TO. BECAUSE PEOPLE ARN'T SCARED OF CHUCKY THE LIKE HIM AND THAT'S WHY THIS FILM SUCCEDS
havent seen this movie but i saw the seed of chucky. these are the worst movies ever. disgusting. they r not scary. they r stupid. id rather pluck my eyebrows with ductape than watch any of the movies EVER!!!!
Not good. Pretty scary. Ya know, it's alittle but not much. I just think Chucky movies are scary. I don't know why but, don't watch them. That's the thought you need at night, a crazed doll walking into your room trying to KILL you!!!
Bride of Chucky is a weak entry in the on-going series
I'm personally a big fan of Chucky and I enjoyed Child's play, Child's play 2, Child's play 3, and Seed of Chucky. But when I first saw Bride of Chucky I was disappointed because the acting was awful, the movie was slow paced, and when it tried to be funny it wasn't. Overall skip Bride of Chucky.
Sexual Content: Suggestive dancing (very brief), a couple have an affair (they remained clothed), a woman you see taking a bath (no nudity), some kissing
Violence/Gore: Very brutal and violent scenes. A guy gets his throat slit, A doll throws a bottle towards a mirror and pieces of the mirror impale two humans, a doll pulls multiple piercings of a guy, A doll stabs another doll, a guy has about ten needles stuck in his face, a guy tries to escape but a truck runs over him and you can see gore and blood, A doll gives birth to a baby (this is seen on-screen with blood gushing out)
Profanity: About 15 f words, scatological and anatomical terms, name-calling
Substance use: Teens are seen smoking, A doll holds a bottle of alcohol
Social behavior: Dolls kill people, People are accused of murder
Commercialism: In the beginning you see a Jason mask and a Michael Meyers mask which might attract horror fans. Chucky is already a big part of commercialism.
Age recommendation: 15+ There are very graphic and bloody scenes mostly involving dolls, there are a couple of f words here and there, and some sexual content.
