Its okay... but a little annoying, my little brothers love it though, they watch it over and over.. and over. The carebears look like they have buttcheeks (I'm just saying) and their tales look like fluffy tuffs sticking out. Cristy's pretty down on herself, thinking of herself as talentless, and she and two twin kids are always laughed and have to do all of the chores (Where are the camp counslers at?) The two people that take care of the Carebears had to leave to find Darkheart (the carebears are older) and they are very nieve, Darkheart wears a hat and they don't reconize him. Darkheart trys to take carebears and crystalize them, and Christy helps because he gave her 'talent' It shows Darkheart isn't all bad "Good or bad, your still a person" -Christy. It teaches pretty good messages, but mostly by the kids, the carebears are cute, but a tad dorky. Darkheart can be pretty scary to little ones, but as it continues they may begin to like him. He's a creepy dragon/tornado/wolf/fox/ and big smoke cloud. He also has a creepy voice when he's himself, but he is only a boy. Also, I must ask the carebears this, isn't 'staring' a little rude?
My baby sister used to watch this over and over and over again a few years ago. It's probably the most watchable of all the Carebear videos I remember her watching, and it's actually an OK movie. It's not scary, but the talking star in the beginning's a little creepy so I don't know how kids would respond to that?
The Care Bears Movie 2: The New Generation Hasn't Changed or Heard of Explaining the Story, Much Like the Last
Though it has no connection to the first movie, Care Bears 2 : A New Generation is fun enough to entertain toddlers and preschoolers but anyone above the age of 6 or 5 will find this movie dull and maybe even confusing as it never explains Darkhearts origins, his motive, where the new generation of Care Bears came from, or where the mystical world of Care-a-lot is located, and why Darkheart needed to first make the girl camper trust him before he used her to capture the Care Bears instead of just forcing her to help him when he first met her or most of all just going ahead and capturing the bears himself as he certainly seems capable of doing it with his ability to turn into practical any animal real or imaginary (yes I am likely over thinking a kids movie but even a kids movie has to have some explanations weather they are logical or not). Also the other aspects of the movie such as the songs and visuals are practically the same as in the first except for the fact that there are now a couple of new songs which are in fact actually more enjoyable then the ones in the first movie where most of the songs sound like the person singing them had stayed of for 6 days or just had been really, really bored and uninterested.
