One of the best films ever made. I mean, what's not to like? There's drama, romance, intrigue, action, humor, etc. The characters' stories are compelling, the script is brilliant and witty, and the actors bring it all to life. If you haven't seen this classic, go do so. Now!
It's a classic, no doubt, but wait until your kids are older to watch it. It's not that bad, but the plot it complicated to understand a little ones might get bored. A lot of drinking and smoking, but its accurate for the time period.
Hearing all the catchphrases from this single film for years now in 1 hour and 45 mins is pretty cool, or at least for a movie buff teen like me. I probably would've eventually seen this even if it hadn't won Best Picture because of its iconic status. It was very good, but complicated and hard to follow at times. "Casablanca" didn't need a sex scene, but longing looks and brief kisses to show love. That's how cinema's REALLY made. Great acting, great plot, great movie; Bogart steals the show.
A classic! I'm trying to see all old romantic classics, and this movie is really good. The bad thing about it is it's long and alot of the movie is in a bar. Besides that this is a movie everyone should see:)
Humphrey Bogart blew me away! This movie is a classic and will remain so for years to come. There are also a lot of famous quotes. I think anyone under 12 would get bored, so it is best for teens
This movie is fantastic, with something for everyone. For instance, I'm not crazy about romance, but I love the historical part, as its in a period that's really interesting, and it's very historically accurate and it gets you involved and feeling for the characters, even though seventy years have gone by. My sister, on the other hand, doesn't like historical fiction and loves the movie because of the fantastic story, great humor and the fact that she likes romantic storylines.
I would recommend it for all ages, but I think that most kids under age ten would neither understand or care about the historical background nor like the romantic part, which is admittedly a very large part. However, from a quality point of view, I would recommend this movie to anyone.
Casablanca is truly a classic by all means; it's story, acting, and quotes are truly memorable and great! It deserved all three of the Academy Awards it won, and it is truly one of Hollywood's most popular motion pictures. So to put it shortly, Casablanca is a great classic, that should be watched.
I think this movie is a great classical movie and i think anyone that likes a classical movie will like it, and even those who don't like classics and black and white will like it too!
I think casablanca is an amazing movie about a man named Rick who was in love with a girl named Ilsa. It is all about people in casablanca who want to get out into america so they can be safe form the nazis. they're all trying to get exit visas. rick doesn't stick his neck out for anyone but in this story it all changes. This move has little violence, sex, language, or product placement. The biggest part of the movie that is bad is the drinking and smoking. there was more smoking in this because this movie was written in 1942 so everyone thought smoking was a good thing. altogether though if you ask me I think this is the best classic of all of them.
Casablanca is a movie that takes place in the time of World War 2 and it takes place in a town named Casablanca where everyone is trying to evacuate to get to America because the Nazi's are over running Europe. The main story is about a man named Rick Blaine who owns a cafe in Casablanca and wants to get back to America with his true love Ilsa Lund but he might have to make a very hard decision that could separate them. This movie has some Violent scenes, there are some drinking and smoking, and a little gambling at some points in the movie but it has a very great story line to it. There is no other remake that I have seen that comes even close to being just like this movie. I recommend that you should see this movie when you are older around 12 or 13 because of the plot and some of the scenes are confusing.
