Before i started to watch this movie i had expectations that it would filled with blood, heads being broken ect. But its not got a scene with gushing blood and its not scary i would call it an action film rather than horror
I really hate this movie! I know it's very very old, but special effects could be a little bit better. Too much violence for kids, too much fantasy for adults.
It's really a comedy, not a horror movie.
In 2nd grade, a group of kids and I would gather around a certain boy at lunchtime who could watch anything he wanted. He told us in detail about Child's Play and it scared me!! Apparently my imagination made the movie scarier than it was, because when I actually sat down and watched it as a teen, it wasn't scary at all!! It was funny!! Definitely not for kids in elementary school, but middle school and up will find this movie to be a humorous horror film.
I just can't say this is for kids. Chucky yells "I'll teach you how to f**k with me!" He says the F word about 2 other times. He also says sh*t once or twice. He calls a woman a b***h. He likes to yell swear words. It is more frightening then violent.
I love this movie! Brad Dourif does an excellent job of voice acting as Chucky, as well as acting as Charles Lee Ray. It's a bit silly, but, quite amusing. Maybe even a little freaky. I saw this when I was 12, FELL IN LOVE WITH IT. Chucky is the man...Anyways, there's lots of swear-words. (B*tch, F*ck, Sh*t...) Definitely not for little kids! It's a bit violent, too. But, only when Chucky murders Andy's doctor. (Tons of blood)
Cheesey Horror Classic! Buy it...NOW!
Entertaining for younger teens and maybe even some older tweens, but too dumb for anyone else.
This movie is very, very dumb, but a lot of young teens will love it (I know I did at that age). And while it certainly didn't deserve an R rating, it's still not for kids. It has frequent deaths and violence, although there's little to no blood. Also, you'll hear three f-words and one derogatory term for a woman, among milder language. This is a lot tamer than modern horror movies, but a lot dumber as well. If you're an adult or older teen, I would recommend "Bride of Chucky" and "Seed of Chucky". They're a lot more entertaining (but a lot gorier, too).
Good Movie for young teens getting into horror movies!
This film is good for teens that are over 13.It contains violence but the violence is not horribly bad. Most of it could be rated as a PG 13 movie if it was made right now. A woman is hit in the face with a hammer, sending her falling backward out of a window and landing on a car below.A man is killed in a house explosion.A man is nearly stabbed and strangled while driving and later is stabbed in the leg (he does not die.)Chucky tortures and kills a man by stabbing and breaking the arms and legs of a voodoo doll.
A man is stabbed in the ankle with a scapel, and electrocuted till his head is burnt.Chucky stabs a knife through a door where a woman's hand is, cutting it.Chucky's hands that are burned apart from his body attempt to strangle another man.The doll of Chucky is burned and shot repeatedly. It contains no sexual content. It has some strong language such as the F word that is used 3 times. The B word is used twice, the word Sl*t is used once, two uses of the S word, and a couple of A-Holes. There is one drug refrence because a man smokes a cigarette. Good movie for 13 and up. Just ignore that F word and you'll be all right. If you don't even want your kids to see these, then watch it on TV and the F word and The S words would be edited out. This film is rated R
The best little murderer this world has ever seen ...he should had a reunion party ....this is horror at its best people ...Chucky was the man then and as far as I concern still the MAN...enjoy this one knuckleheads!!
