Why is sex just an accepted thing these days, in a movie aimed at kids??
Could be a cute movie for kids, I suppose, but WWWHHHHYYYYYYY can't any move that's aimed at tweens just leave the sex out? Why do I have to feel like a prude while watching a movie with my 9-year old daughter, because out of nowhere there's a random guy under the sheets naked with the heroine's girlfriend? WHY? Is this just deemed acceptable in a movie aimed at young, young girls these days??? (btw, I'm not a prude -- but I try to be a good parent) What the hell has happened? Is there no shame anymore??

Cute movie. Deals with reality and how "it all comes out on wash day" - --- The lead actress is in debt over her head and is giving advice on how to save money. -- She gets caught and the story unravels. She sells all of her goods and pays off her debts. (but how she does it, is adorable) Loved it! Grab your daughters and friends and have a girls night in with Confessions! It's a great chick flick!

The message was horrible!
My 13 yr old daughter saw this with a few of her friends, and she came home a little disappointed. I asked her why she didn't like it, and she said that the whole plot was about spending money and designer brands. Curious, I saw it a week after and realized why she didn't like it. All Becky cares about is herself and her bills, constantly trying to avoid paying them. I wouldn't recommend it, but as of the content it is appropriate for 10 yrs old and up.

Perfect movie for anyone who loves to shop from the ages 8-14. This movie is about a girl named Rebecca Bloomwood that has to pay off a very expensive dept. SHES A SHOPAHOLIC!! She starts a newspaper column and her name is "the girl in the green scarf" To Find Out The Rest Of The Story You Must Watch It!

Good, Funny Movie. LOTS of Consumerism, though.
This was overall a really good film. Not 4 stars worthy, but pretty good. Other than the constant consumerism and awful message of 'getting what you want from spending', the only other concern is the main character and a friend getting drunk. It is really good though, so, if you have a daughter or some girls who just wanna kick back and watch a funny sleepover film, this one's really good.

I really, really, REALLY don't understand why Common Sense rated it Iffy for 12-13!! It had 1 kissing scene really in the whole movie, they drank a little bit in the beginning. I thought it was absolutely HILARIOUS!! I looovvvveeeddd it!!! It did get a little all-over-the-place there for a while but overall GREATTT!!!!!

Adults, teens, tween, babies, no matter who you are you won't like it!
Movie was fine, not inapropriate. There is one secne where they are drinking while going through the bills, but that's it. It was disapointing, the whole movie was about excuses not to pay bills because she was constantly shopping and never left a store without spending every penny. I like it, but it wasn't what i expected, at all! She didn't even have that good of style. And of course they wrap the whole movie around that $120 or something dollar scarf that she got at the beginning of the movie. Ok, totally apropriate, she loves a man, and she fights with another woman over shoes. Weird movie, not that good.

A very funny movie
Well, I expected a horrible film to be forgotten. It wasn't to bad as it turns out. I could see it again. It made me lough a lot. But I am not saying it was bad but I am saying maybe instead of seeing this rent it. It's the kind of movie that you wanna get cozy on your couch with your dog or something. I would buy it though. I know a few people here and there like to be recommended movies so SEE KNOWING! Love it!

This movie was about Rebecca Bloomwood... over dramatic shopper! In my opinion this movie was a waste of time!!!! Don't waste your money to see a movie that you can see in the movie "Materal Girls" with Hillary and Hailey Duff. If your tweens are looking for a movie.... take them to see the "Jonas Brother 3D Concert Experence!" Opening on Feb. 27th Don't waste your money be smart people!!!!!

Perfect tween movie
This movie was the epitomy of tween movies. It was mostly funny and light, but the main character also made bad chouces that were reprimanded. There was drinking that had both good and bad consequences, but the minor problem was solved with no real lesson taught. This was the most innapropriate part. Two characters did shots when looking through bills which reinforced drinking as a way to calm down. Also, there was innuendo when two women were in an uncomfortable horizontal position. The main character lied several times in the beginning to help her own career but she did learn her lesson about lying. It also had many similarities to Legally Blonde. Otherwise, this movie was excellent for tween girls.
