This is a dark comedy about being cruel and rude to others that are different, even though they are probably quite special. The two leads play off each other well, but that's still no excuse for the dramatic undertone. Parents: This is a pretty offensive movie, with plenty of sex-related dialogue and innuendoes. Characters are seen about to engage in sex, with partial nudity. There's also plenty of language, accomapnied with drug references, and some obssessive behavior by characters. Bottom Line: There's too much drama in this comedy, and drama doesn't belong in a movie that's supposed to make you feel good. Thanks for reading! - Movie Man
This movie was crap. It would be a great movie if all the sexual references were out of it because there were so many like every second! Me and my family had to walk put because it was so horrible. I had high expectatations bc I love Steve carell. Mature older teens like 15+ I guess could be ok..
Nonstop funny throughout the whole thing! Some of the most laugh-worthy moments in all of cinema were in this film. However, if you want a comedy that's smarter and more realistic, try watching Easy A, but if you just want to laugh your head off for two hours, Dinner for Schmucks is more than perfect.
Dinner for Schmucks was horrible. It was filled with crude humor and explicit sex references that were used every other line. My family actually had to walk out of the theater. I can't think of single movie that I've seen that has had so much crude humor. This movie was horrible, and I wouldn't waste my time watching it.
I took my awesome 11 year old son to see this and WE LOVED IT!! The crude humor explained on this site was not near as bad as I thought it would be. We laughed out loud during the whole movie so much that we got the hiccups. The small little sexual humor parts were not long enough to be uncomfortable. This movie has a great message and I think I even shed a tear at the happily ever after end.
NOT FUNNY.......not even in a corny way. It took all we could do to NOT to leave the movie. Stayed hoping something would work. Didn't! Worst movie this year.
Some sexual references totally not necessary! Funny movie but a little too much sexual language and talk for my 16 year old son! Also be warned...R rated previews for other movies.
My wife and two adult children and I saw this movie together. It is really corny, but we laughed harder than we have laughed in years. It is totaly unrealistic and immature, but there are so many classic lines that you need to take notes. Hidden away in the silliness is a good lesson about friendship and how to treat other people.
My son, who's almost 13, wanted to see this movie and from what I had heard, it seemed appropriate humor for a boy his age. WRONG! The only time we both laughed was at the beginning. It went downhill from there. Certain scenes were vulgar, bordering on pornographic and extremely suggestive. I was so embarrassed by the content, I actually covered my son's eyes. When it looked like I was going to have to shield him from the rest of the movie, we walked out. That's a first. Fortunately the theatre personnel refunded our tickets without question.
There is no way this movie should be PG-13.
I love it I seriously think that parents should let there kids see it if they won't repeat anything! There is some on and off language that is harsh but don't listen to this website and go on and let your kid see it! You won't regret it!
NOT for younger kids despite the silliness and Steve Carrell
Two nude woman covered in body paint with 'pasties'
A woman takes a picture of her buttocks in panties and sends it via instant message

Great movie! Very funny... some bad language just like any other PG-13 movie. Steve Carrell is at his best once again! Due to the heavy sexual content, this movie is definitely iffy for immature 12 year olds, and NOT a good movie for people under 12. Great movie otherwise!
The review that this website has given portrays the movie as a funny, mild PG-13 movie. While it is indeed funny, the movie is far from mild.
The sexual content in this movie is simply excessive. All it truly needed was some more nudity for it to be R. There is constant talk about sex, references to "BJ's", "prostitutes", and "Hookers." The sexual humor is very explicit- in one scene, a women asks another man to "roleplay" with her and pretend to "spank" her. She is heard to be making groaning noises and calls her herself "a naughty schoolgirl." This same lady, in a later scene, claims that she "is wet."
Additionally, a man claims he loses his wife's "clitoris." This conversation continues for 10-15 seconds.
There is a scene where a man is found with two near naked women (leaves cover their private parts), posing erotically.
This movie is simply not a family movie- the sexual references make the whole experience awkward. Watch the movie by yourself before letting your kids watch it.
