This is a dark comedy about being cruel and rude to others that are different, even though they are probably quite special. The two leads play off each other well, but that's still no excuse for the dramatic undertone. Parents: This is a pretty offensive movie, with plenty of sex-related dialogue and innuendoes. Characters are seen about to engage in sex, with partial nudity. There's also plenty of language, accomapnied with drug references, and some obssessive behavior by characters. Bottom Line: There's too much drama in this comedy, and drama doesn't belong in a movie that's supposed to make you feel good. Thanks for reading! - Movie Man
I took my awesome 11 year old son to see this and WE LOVED IT!! The crude humor explained on this site was not near as bad as I thought it would be. We laughed out loud during the whole movie so much that we got the hiccups. The small little sexual humor parts were not long enough to be uncomfortable. This movie has a great message and I think I even shed a tear at the happily ever after end.
NOT FUNNY.......not even in a corny way. It took all we could do to NOT to leave the movie. Stayed hoping something would work. Didn't! Worst movie this year.
Some sexual references totally not necessary! Funny movie but a little too much sexual language and talk for my 16 year old son! Also be warned...R rated previews for other movies.
My wife and two adult children and I saw this movie together. It is really corny, but we laughed harder than we have laughed in years. It is totaly unrealistic and immature, but there are so many classic lines that you need to take notes. Hidden away in the silliness is a good lesson about friendship and how to treat other people.
My son, who's almost 13, wanted to see this movie and from what I had heard, it seemed appropriate humor for a boy his age. WRONG! The only time we both laughed was at the beginning. It went downhill from there. Certain scenes were vulgar, bordering on pornographic and extremely suggestive. I was so embarrassed by the content, I actually covered my son's eyes. When it looked like I was going to have to shield him from the rest of the movie, we walked out. That's a first. Fortunately the theatre personnel refunded our tickets without question.
There is no way this movie should be PG-13.
I love it I seriously think that parents should let there kids see it if they won't repeat anything! There is some on and off language that is harsh but don't listen to this website and go on and let your kid see it! You won't regret it!
NOT for younger kids despite the silliness and Steve Carrell
Two nude woman covered in body paint with 'pasties'
A woman takes a picture of her buttocks in panties and sends it via instant message

Great movie! Very funny... some bad language just like any other PG-13 movie. Steve Carrell is at his best once again! Due to the heavy sexual content, this movie is definitely iffy for immature 12 year olds, and NOT a good movie for people under 12. Great movie otherwise!
Thought this was a family movie and watched it with our 14 year old daughter. No, wait, we started watching it , and had to turn it off. I can't believe a movie with that much sexual reference, and discussions of sexual body parts, not to mention the language, is not rated R ! It had everything about and leading up to the actual act. Who is rating these things ?
NOT for kids under 16, or for adults with moral values
Many many crude remarks and comments that go over and beyond and one sex scene that made a 44 year old woman uncomfortable! Not a good idea for kids under 16 AT ALL!
Not to mention the movie was awful. All the funny parts were in the previews. The rest is painful.
Hate it - especially the dinner party conversation where the other guy stole the wife away because the husband couldn't find his wife's clitoris. THAT is too far - it shocked EVERYONE! Not funny.
This is a funny movie. However, it rarely goes five minutes without uncomfortable sexual references.
Anyone who says this is ok for kids must be living above a gentlemen's club.
Stay away from this movie if you have kids under 15 or 16.
This movie should have been rated R. PG-13 is a terrible rating in general--there is way too much variety in this rating segment. I would like to see them go back to just G, PG, and R.
I'm 11 and I had just seen it, so it was perfect for 12 years, cuz there were somee mmmm... inapropiete parts. it´s really good. It was also funny, and I could understand some adults jokes, it´s the perfect comedy to watch in family.
Little sister again.
Just not very good. Some funny moments...should be all since it is a comedy. Sexually inappropriate for younger teens who already often believe the sexual hype and stereotypes portrayed in these types of movies too often. Carrell is good...esp. Given that the writing is not! Unfortunately, I could not even stay awake for the ending, and had no desire to replay end in the morning.
I absolutely loved this movie when I saw it. It would be great to bring the children but I was not sure about it. Teenagers and adults would definitely love this movie. I sure did! It was too inappropriate for my children though.
