Good for 13+
Great movie I watched it with my 12-year-old and we loved it. I like that there was lgbtq representation. There were some slightly mature themes but nothing my 12 year old couldn’t handle. Overall this movie is great for kids 12-13+

A big disappointment
This movie reinforces the stereotypes of teenage girls as egotistical and dismisses the seriousness of sexual harassment. It doesn't show any relevant positive role model for teenagers and it is also very explicit with drugs and alcohol, including explicit scenes with cocaine.

Pretty good movie
The movie was OK nothing really stood out to me. My daughter said that she wanted to watch this so I watched it with her and it was perfectly fine I would watch this again with my 13 year old. Nothing that bad I recommend it if you like drama.

Funny and clever, but not for young kids
Throughout this film, there are multiple themes that reference with gender and identity. First, the film does any interesting job of addressing sexuality. Eleanor is bullied as a teen for being a lesbian by Drea and is seeking revenge on her (even though Drea completely forgot about this). Being called a lesbian is humiliating to Eleanor and causes her to go into a deep depression for years. She even feels so inadequate from this experience that she gets plastic surgery to feel better about herself. I wonder why being called something other than straight is so damaging to Eleanor, in my opinion this misrepresents the emotions many people feel about their queerness. It also sends a message that being considered queer is embarrassing or something to be ashamed of.
I would also critique the way the film addresses gender, I think it feeds into stereotypes around women and men. It also sends the message that men will get away with anything and they are innocent until proven guilty, while women are guilty until proven innocent. This is the main reason I do not think this film is appropriate for people under 17. It also feeds into the stereotype that all female relationships are competitive and rooted in jealously.
At the end of day, I think this film is funny and enjoyable to watch. The costumes and sets are so bright and interesting. The character development is unique as you grow to love all of them despite their obvious flaws. I think the movie also does an interesting job of addressing class systems and is not shy about stating the inequalities or injustices that surround us (in a witty way).

great movie but with some mature content
Do Revenge is a great movie. It had a great story, characters, and a good actually unpredictable twist. I think this movie is appropriate for 15+. I wouldn't let any younger than that watch due to extremely strong language used in the movie and drug use (it is mild though) at parties not having any consequences. But for older teenagers and adults it is a fun watch, and very enjoyable.

Terrible film with shallow characters
Some scenes were a bit close to the mark with some cringe moments. there was suggested oral sex on a girl and some other sex stuff - the main girl sends a naked picture to her boyfriend and it goes round the school but the main thing is that it wasn’t a very nice film. it was petty and the characters were terrible shallow people. Not a feel good film at all!

Not appropriate for teens in my opinion, maybe for 17 and up
I like this movie because I like these type of teen movies, and I like Camila Mendes. It was entertaining for me. This plot did have a twist to it. However there are several sex scenes and drug scenes. I think they could’ve easily removed at least the unnecessary sex scenes and the visuals of kids doing Coke and passing K and turn this into a PG-13 movie.
(there is an oral sex scene, a scene where a guy turns around and snorts coke, many scenes of underage drinking, cursing, etc)
There’s a lot of drug references throughout the entire movie and not once does anyone say anything against drugs. However someone turns in someone for doing drugs twice and those people get sent to rehab and have consequences, however the motive was for revenge not because drugs are bad!.
Honestly the movie makes it seem like all high school kids are doing drugs and having sex and drinking alcohol and unsupervised at all times.
I get that it’s supposed to be an uppity private school with rich kids, and you’re not supposed to generalize to all high school kids. However teens watching the movie are not going to understand that.
