Enemy of the State is a very well made political thriller. Will Smith is a terrific actor, as always, and the rest of the cast are very good too. Enemy of the State is for any fan of thrillers that have a political edge to it. I'd also recommend it for people who likes action movies that have politics mixed in. Parents should know that throughout this movie a man is hunted down by a corrupt government official for having footage of a murder (which the viewer sees, a man is forcefully injected with a sedative, then locked in his car and pushed into the lake to drown). Other violence includes; a man getting hit by a firetruck (we see his twisted body up close) and a bloody gun battle at close range resulting in many, many dead bodies. There are about 12 f-words and a handful of other profanities. The corrupt government official is very menacing and uses many illegal and extreme methods of trying to cover up for a murder. However, the violence in this film is very tame for an "R" rating.
