A hilarious and innovative movie for ages 13+

Ferris Bueller's Day Off is one movie you must see before you die. It's a hilarious and adventurous comedy that will keep you laughing from beginning to end. I think it's amazing how innovative this movie was. This movie probably inspired Home Alone to an extent; both movies had contraptions set up in the home by the main character. TV shows like Better off Ted (ABC) and Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide (Nick) have crazy situations and both shows frequently break the fourth wall like this movie did. Phineas and Ferb (Disney) is basically Ferris Bueller for kids: the duo are always part of crazy situations that the parents are oblivious to, but one person is not and wants others to know. The episode of Drake & Josh (Nick) titled "Vicious Tiberius" was probably inspired by an incident in this movie involving a mean rottweiler. Here's the objectionable content: some suggestive content and double-entendres on the higher end of a PG rating, strong language present in the movie version (edited out on basic-cable TV), some iffy messages present. I highly recommend this movie for ages 13+.

    A favorite in our house

What I think is great about this movie is that it's really all about Cameron, and will he learn to stand up for himself? I also love that yeah, they skip school -- but their idea of an adventure is seeing the stock market in action, and visiting the art museum. It's just beautiful to me that, in this day and age where it seems every teen is portrayed as thinking only of sex or being 'cool' -- this movie makes the art museum or a parade look 'cool'. If cussing is the end of your world and you need all your media to convince your kids of the value of going to school, this movie is not for you.

    I Love It

This is a great movie. I watched it when it first came out and have seen it probably 15 or 20 times since then. The worst thing about it is the language.

Great comdey, I was really laughing out loud. Language is the main concern, this movie isn't for little kids. The characters aren't great role models, but whoever heard of role models in comedy?

    Great movie

Very funny movie; not graphic at all for a PG-13 movie. The characters aren't necessarily good role models, but there's little sexual stuff and language. My friend and I thought it hilarious.

    My concerns are:
    • Inappropriate sexual content
    • Inappropriate language
    • Negative role models

It's suitable for teenagers, just a little risky for tweens.

I think that this movie is hilarious and very well done, but it does have some inappropriate scenes. Like how Ferris and his girl-friend spread the love quite a bit, and using some bad language. The characters aren't the best role-models since they skipped school to have some fun in the city and how they get into some trouble along the way.

Fine for teens, but LOTS of language and iffy mesages

This is a VERY funny movie, it will mostly apeale to teens, but that's the only audiance it's apropriate for: 1. a suprising amount of language including: aroud 50 uses of S--t, lots of uses of a-s, h--l, d--n, b--ch, one f--k, one use of the finger, and another incomplete f--k. 2. harmless teen kissing 3. Ferris is a VERY iffy role model, he lies, pesuades people to see or do his way, steals, constently skips school, and even gives the audiance how to tips on how to fake a sickness and get out of school. So overall this is a very funny movie for teens 13 and up!

    bueller? bueller?

This movie is the best movie ever!!! i have almost memorized it! its sooo easy to quote! yah there is alot of cursing f--k is said geustered and implied, and every other cuss word is said at least twice. also ferris has VERY high disrespect for authority figures. but if your kids know not to skip school and not say the curse words than hey its all good let the kid have some fun!

    Great comedy!

This is probably the best comedy I've ever seen. Though there are a lot of bad messages (kids skipping school, cheating, etc.), it is all very funny and ends up with a great ending, though sad for the car. Good acting and an awesome Ferrari add to the coolness. A lot of bad language... Still really cool.

    Hilarious

This movie is my favorite movie of all time. I loved every minute of it, even seeing it with my mom, except moments where there was an f bomb involved. The only part that I even thought the slightest bit appaling was when the "nurse" prostitute comes to cheer Ferris up, but no kid would understand that anyways. However, I don't think you should see this until you're 11 or 12, even then it's questionable. But the movie is incredibly hilarious, and I would recomend it to any adult or teen.

This is a really great movie! I don't know why this movie was rated PG-13 for language. The language wasn't even that bad! If they were going to rate it that, then it should have been for something more than language.

    A Cassic

This is another one of the funniest movies I've ever seen. There's not too much language, and nothing else questionable, so if you have a little talk with you child before hand, it should be alright if they see it. They'll probably remember the funny parts better than the swear words anyway.
