Actually follows the book! See it!
This is one the first movies that actually follows the book perfectly. Every scene is there, the actors portray the characters perfectly, and the overall theme of the movie is clearly stated. The language is very iffy for a PG. Jacks**t, god****t, hell, and as*h**e are all said by the characters. There is some thematic material such as talk about mental retardation and a man always thinking about his dead wife. Even though it maybe should have been PG-13, this is a fantastic coming of age story.

Great Movie!
There was way too much profanity for a supposedly "PG" film. But, it was an amazing movie!! I personally would recommend it to alot of teens my age.

Really good, but not for young kids
'Flipped' is a really good movie! There's a bit of colourful language here and there and since it's based in the sixties they refer to the disabled uncle as 'retarded', but that word wasn't rude back then. Overall, it has a good message. It says that just because you make a mistake doesn't mean you're a bad person. Also, to look at the person as a whole.

Right at the beginning of the movie, it already started to turn into a really good movie. It's just a great idea to create something like this! I think that this was definitely a movie for the whole family to enjoy. However there was somewhat violence. The father hit the daughter and after that she said some bad words. Also, there is a retarded person who knocked over the table and had a fit because his ice cream dropped. It might be a little scary because it is a little loud. Plus, there are a few bad words. Nothing really to worry about but still it should be supervised and understood. It would be best if they didn't understand that you talk to them after the movie if they have any questions!

u should watch if u like slow paced movies
very well done movie, but borring in the long run.i think that bryce could have stood up for julie when his friend made fun of her, instead of pertending to agre.i meen, show some back bone!! also bryces dad is soooo mean to the bakers, just because they had a retarded family member.

pretty chill movie for older kids (:
Flipped, overall, is not a badly made film. The plot is easy to follow, and the characters played their parts quite well. The only thing that I was incredibly shocked about was the (frequent) language throughout the movie. I actually had to walk out of the movie once to go check that it was, in fact, PG. There are two times in the movie that mention the S word, by a 13 year old which i thought, was totally inappropriate, especially since it's in a PG movie. Also a girl calls her father the A word where he promptly slaps her which provokes her to say "go to ****" to him which is another thing that I thought was totally uncalled for. Both of these language instances did not make the film any better, and honestly i think they could've been taken out easily. There aren't many sensual parts in the movie. You can see a budding romance between the two main characters, and a sister invites two boys from another family up to see her room ("Come on, lemme show you my room."), but nothing happens. The dad is not a good role model at all, treating a whole family terribly because they have one mentally slow family member. However, when you overlook the wrong parts in the movie, it's a really positive message that it's sending kids. it shows that there are certain boundaries that should never be crossed, that it's important to stick up for what you believe, and that family is a very important thing. have fun at flipped!

Flipped!
Cute, light romance is perfect for tweens. The concept of the romance between the characters is mild, but the language is a bit strong for kids under 10. Julie is a strong character who is a good role model. I love this movie!

Great Movie!
I think it was a great movie, but uses lots of bad language. It also mentions playboy magazine, and talks about it briefly. Otherwise, it is a good movie with a good message.

Love it!
This movie is so cute! Although it does touch on some heavy subjects such as severe mental illness, Flipped is inspiring and somewhat light-hearted. This is a must see!
