Okay...

Free Fire has some good moments. The shoot out scenes are good, and the script and acting is fine. Overall, very violent but still good.

A entertaining one-watch time pass

Free Fire is basically one big crossfire scene stretched into 90 minutes with a bit of backstory. With big name Martin Scorsese and trailers promises a Tarantino-style flick, the film carried quite some expectation, and depending on your opinion of action-comedies, it mainly delivers. Its not brilliant like Tarantino but is a good watch. There are genuine echos of Tarantino in the direction which is good. If its Friday or Saturday midnight and you are strolling through Netflix or Kodi even, and want a some entertainment, Free Fire should be up your ally. Though it is entertaining, there are its fair share of flaws. The film has a lot of gunfire, which is necessary considering the plot, but violence and gore can sometimes be excessive. E.g. a scene where someones head gets run over by a truck, as a result we see the corpse and squashed head on a pool of spilling blood. Another thing is since this film is mainly targeted to adult audiences, there is some cussing which fine, but 240 f-words are fit into 90 minutes, this is roughly 3 per minute. Finally, half way the gunfire can get tiring and uninteresting and the frequent landing jokes decreases, fortunately it does increase towards the climax. All and all, I found Free Fire mostly enjoyable. It wasn't brilliant but it wasn't Movie 43 or Battlefield Earth. It isn't meh but a bit more, just on the "good" section. Due to its violent, bad-mouth nature, I think Free Fire is suitable for mature 13+

Nice movie for a parent vacation, not so great for a family movie night...

So, I watched this movie when I was 14, BIG MISTAKE!!! There is a lot of language throughout, like usage of "F***" "S**t" and sexual language like "Balls" "D**k" and "A******" there is also graphic violence so be careful when watching hence the name Free Fire
