Good But Not Great!
I Went To Blockbuster To Get Race To Witch Mountain But It Was Sold Out And My 10 Year Old Just Picked Up Friday The 13th Killer Cut And He Gave It To Me And I Bought It. My Kids Watched It And They Liked It. This Movie Had Some Gore, Lots Of Sexual Content And Tons Of Drinking.

Typical slasher movie...
Typical slasher movie with a high amount of gore and sexualtiy. Profanity is also moderatly heavy and teens are constantly drinking and smoking. also references to marijuana growing and selling. Pretty bad :(

If you will read the thing above about Jason being a "psychopath", that is actually a lie. He his a severely mentally-retarded kid who everyone made fun of in high school but they went too far and killed him. So his mother is and great grief and she uses some sort of spell that will bring her "now 40-year-old son" take revenge on anyone who dares lay a hand on the camp or deathplace of him. Excellent movie, some mild sex scenes,and a little bit of profanity. There is some what of a lot of violence if you get the unrated version but nothing that would be a "SAW 4", certainly any 13-year old boy would develop good companion skills and enjoy this. I know you would not want yourself too think a lonesome retarded guy is inappropriate for your kids.

Friday the 13th
Didn't care to much for the theatrical version, but I loved the Killer cut extended edition. 99.9% of the crap on television is more disturbing than this picture. ALL KIDS SHOULD GO AND RENT THE "KILLER CUT" on Blue-ray. It's the parents of todays generation keeping them in a bubble and spoiling them. Not letting them grow up and experience life for themselves, not allowing them to fail. "Everyone has to pass and succeed" It's this very attitude that has weakened this country as a whole! The Friday the 13th franchise has done more for the religious right in this country than "Jesus" ever has. Yet, Moms of america keep protesting these films or tell other people not to see them. It's "morally wrong","drug use","sex","bad language" and there were no "good role models". Well, I was under the impression that the parents were supposed to be the role models. Not Movies, pop stars, actors, sports figures, or "The Bible"! Parents in this country need to wake up to the real world we actually are living in today! More actual real blood has been spilt over the Bible, Qu-ran, and the Torah than there's ever been in a Friday film! These movies teach kids and teens alike to survive no matter what the cost! To believe in yourself, never give up, and fight back until you can't fight anymore! To look death in the face and not be afraid! That's all we are in this country anymore, "is afraid". We as a people are scared to death in the age of terrorism! Personally, I started watching horror films when I was 4 years old. I turned out fine, and I have succeeded in almost every task I've set my mind to. College graduate, 4 years active duty Marine, honorably discharged, and now I am a public servant. It was because of my father allowing me to see films like these that made me realize at a very young age, that unless your rich "life is hard and painful". Most of it is an uphill climb that you can never back down from, especially from a guy in a hockey mask!

terrible remake. All the kills were digital and as fake as they can get and all about s3x and drugs and the usual stupid teenagers asking for it.

Not that scary
I'm a huge horror movie fan but this movie was just ok because it wasn't as scary as I'd heard it was. All of the murders were predictable and there were several parts I actually laughed at. And there was so much unnecessary sex and nudity that it interfered with the horror aspect. How are you supposed to get scared when you're constantly interrupted by boobs? I guess it's an ok movie for the horny teenager but for serious movie enthusiasts I think it was a little disappointing.

2009 Friday the 13th: Don't waste your time.
This movie should be rated X if you ask me. It was not worth $7 to hear many many curse words repeated over and over, see teens meddling with drugs and alcohol, two explicit sex scenes that go on for 5 minutes that show everything but the sex organs, and four women's breasts; they aren't just flashed either. The movie makes sure you get a good look at them because it will give different angles, repetitious moving on to a different scene then zapping back to the woman before you can cover your eyes. I just had to keep covering my boyfriend's eyes and was on the verge of just walking out of the theater. There were really only two parts in the whole movie that made me jump, and those 2 parts were not worth 2 hours of trash. Beyond that, it falls into the category that many "horror movies" are in today: just plain gore, no thrill. Like I told my boyfriend before we even watched the movie, the Jason movies are the same thing over and over except a different group of teens and change of scene. You know they are going to die. Overall, this is a must NOT see.

Ok i respect what your doing common sense ... im 18 male got a little sister and a girl friend... average kind of guy ... but with scary movies we have to show the kids what the real world is and whats the best way to show them without putting them into it? we let them watch movies and tell them what is wrong and what is right. We should let them watch this movie and then review with them on hte subject . but dont get me wrong, not a movie for soft eyes. real young ones like non-teens probably shouldnt watch this movie. With teens though , they should watch it , becuase my parents limited me in those departments so i had sex at the age of 14 becuase i didnt know the risks i was taking. If we show the kids this kid of movies at home , then we are preparing them for their lifes, what they will run into sometimes . We cant always keep a watchful eye over them.

A movie definately not for kids and parents aren't listening.
I won't go into great detail about the movie, just know it isn't for kids. When you think about it its a guy killing a bunch of stupid teens drinking, doing drugs and conducting in sexual acts. To some people its a classic because of the whole slasher films which go toward Halloween and people just like that stuff. For kids they should stay away from it. The only thing is I work at a movie theater and I see parents walk out of the theater with their kids when of course they would know its not a movie for kids. Things are really bad these days and should ban all kids even with their parents to go into the theater, with movies like this, at all.

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD WHY!?!?!?!?!?!?!
This is one of the worst remakes I have ever seen. I mean they take a perfectly good classic and ruin it. The acting is over-the-top, there is sex out the ears, language like you wouldn't believe, and its just not that scary (its just a bunch of gross out scares).

I had a blast watching this
This is by far my favorite film from the Friday the 13th franchise. It had everything you could want from a a Friday film: boobs, butts, blood, and guts. Okay, maybe not "guts" but still plenty of the other three. I would've given it four stars if it was more gory though. That was the one thing they really skimped on, the gore. Not very disturbing. Jr. Highers could easily handle it. But Jason was a real badass in the film. They designed him well. Basically, if you liked the older Friday the 13th installments, you will most likely like this one too...unless you just have a beef against remakes.

This movie, which you may not beleive, actually wasn't that scary. I saw this movie at 9:00 and I wasn't even scared when I went to bed. I recommend this movie for ages 11+ depending on how much you can take. I recommend this movie if you have liked the previous movies.

Excellent movie for fans of Jason, unfourtunately a disapointment for people who don't particularly enjoy the inapropriate parts in it but I would say it's Age apropriate for 16+ and iffy for 14+

Nothing Kids Dont Hear or See Naturally

If you like horror movies definately watch this. Its so much beter than the horrible remake of my bloody valentine. And unlike many of the newer horror movies this one is decently scary. Pretty explicit though...

i don't know what to say for my title
I loved it all the way through, even though my age isn't good enough for the material that's put into this movie including 2 sex scenes, the first was short, but the last was longer, and very strong killing scenes that jason had to do to mostly during the movie, Strong PERVASIVE language (it's pretty obvious that this movie wouldn't be made without the F bomb and other crap). i just wouldn't dare let kids 14 and younger see this movie, they'll get to many ideas that wouldn't be good.

A great movie for Teens.
I loved it. It was perfect. A mix of both comedy and lots of horror! It was great. One of the best horror movies of 2009 so far!

Let anyone 13+ go....
I'm tired of people so fed up about violence and sex. You teach us about sex in Health class then refuse to tell us it exists in the real world. Violence is spread through the news, word of mouth and when it actually happens. So we know it happens and most likely most teens will not commit murder for watching horror movies. Normally it comes from bad parenting and bad childhoods, yes those are signs of a young serial killer. Bad childhood/paernts, and killing small animals. Anyway this movie is violent and sexed up but My age and up can easily handle it, but if you have someone who does not like the sight of blood or deathj I would not recommend it.

Im thirteen and got freaked out by the whole movie!
I only saw half of the movie and it was enough there is so much gore,violance,and sexual content,not to mention drugs, and alcohol! People are knived throug the head with Jasons machette, pierced through the head with arrows,decapataded,and nailed to a wall with a fire place poker too.

Hey its a horror movie...
I went and saw Frday the 13th with my dad the night it came out. I LOVED it so did my dad and almost everyone in the theater they stood up and cheered. Yes theres sex and ALOT of violence but thats what horror movies are all about. So all those parents aying they went to the movie and it was horrible to much sex and violence, well you knew very well that stuff was going to be ther so just SHUT UP!! I do however agree that this movie is to intense for younger viewers but im not the judge of who goes so just know there is ALOT of sex, nudity, and violence but hey its a horror movie.

SWEET!
Ok, so im not a huge scary movie person, but i saw this movie in the theatres and it was awesome! I loved it and i was pretty scared to! The bad sexual parts i just ignored..thats not my thing, but the killings and Jason was so weird. I don't think kids should see this at all. You should be prepared to see it. I would totally watch it again. Go Friday the 13th!!!!
