-yawn- very boring! i dont know what everybody finds in this movie that is so great! i regret watchin and im skippin the 2nd and 3rd one! I swear i almost fell asleep.
the best mafia movie ever! with the famous horse head scene. emotional, filled with graphic violence and some suggestive material and one scene with partial nudity from the front.cdont let kids watch!
It is violent, but nothing kids can;t cope with, Language or anything else isn't a problem. It's more the theme that younger children may not be able to grasp.
A very good classic, but very graphic. not for kids
This is a very good classic movie. It's very graphic. Not for kids. It has very graphic violence, bad language, smoking, and a brief nude and sex scene. I would like to see this movie edited for tv. I rated this a Austin Review Collector Series.
THE GODFATHER is one of the greatest films of all time, not doubt. But the content is not for kids. It contains a sex scene, strong language, very strong violence and some drug reference. Kids might wanna watch it, but they have to understand the film though.
Good film, there a few scenes of violence and brief nudity. The plot of the film will fly over the heads of most kids younger than 10. But overall it is a very good film and most 11-year and older kids will be able to handle it.
my rating -pg 13 for violence, nudity, and language
ok people, if this movie is rated r why is beowulf pg 13
the violence was ok
the nudity was brief
but the language was all over the movie
One of the great classics. The film is violent, but it's not gratuitously so, and it has a message - absolute power corrupts, absolutely. For mature teens and up.
Ah, The Godfather. Probably one of my favorite movies all time. Of course I'm not a parent. A parent would probably find the violence alone to be too much for their child, and I admit, it is pretty brutal. Not just the actual gore, but the sheer violence and abruptness of it is what merits the "R" rating.
While I did list language as a concern, obcene words are sporatic throughout the movie, and any teen should be able to deal with.
There is also a single, brief topless scene in which sex is implied, but never shown.
All in all, a classic film, but not for kids. Teens should be able to handle it, though.
This movie is explicitly violent. I covered my eyes on most of the violent scenes but from what i did see, for a peaceful, anti-violent person like me, you do not want to see this movie. There is also one sex scene and nudity of a woman's breasts as well as sexual talk. There is a lot of bad language. And the movie was boring. It dragged on until there was a killing and then it kept dragging on. Don't watch this.
This is one of my favorite movies, it's not just another mob film. It's THE Mob film. This is movie presents the most realistic depiction of life in the Mafia that you will ever see! It doesn't glamorize their violent and horrible lifestyle. It just weaves a fantastic story, where Family, and Respect are everything. As for violence, well... I mean what am I supposed to say? It's a GANGSTER film! There is quite a bit of very graphic and realistic violence, there are several shootouts, some of the main characters are killed with lots of drama and emphasis on the blood/gore. As for sexual content, there is one brief scene where intercourse is implied, but not much is shown. Not too much language, a few uses of f**k, sh*t, b***ch etc... This is a classic, but is only appropriate for mature audiences. It should be OK for 14+.
by far this one of the best movies i have ever scene. the only reason i got to see it, though, was because it was an edited version on AMC. though i saw it and am 12 doesn't mean its for everyone. i had to see it twice just to grasp what was going on. the plot is very hard to get the first time if your a kid so you may need to watch it twice. the violence may be to much for some so it all depends on your preferences. overall awesome movie.
Awesome mafia movie, a little violent for younger veiwers, but the best of it's kind. Can give bad role model for younger children though. The question is, would you want the kind of people in this movie hanging out with your kids?
After seeing this movie, it's clear to me why it's considered a classic. It's not among my favorites because it's just not my type of film, but I have to admit that it was an amazing movie. The story is complex and gives you a lot to think about, and all the actors are very good. This movie is way too violent for kids and younger teens - at one point I had to cover my eyes - but if you can deal with it, it's definitely worth seeing.
