This is an Oscar worthy film, that should have nominated, it was incredible, there are some sexual situations, so, it depends on your child, as a mature teen, I know that joining the CIA or sleeping with people I barely know, or killing people because of their political or religous beliefs is wrong, and most kids my age would not be interested in seeing it at all, but, if your 13 year old is interested, watch it with them, it's a great movie.

Okay,so. I am thirteen years old, and my step-dad and mom went and took me to see it, although I never even heard of it. At first, I did not think I would like it, because it seemed like a history film (although it sorta is), and I normally don't like them. I ended up loving it. The main character was pretty interesting in a weird sort of way. As was many of the others. Now, as for taking a kid my age to see it, is up to you. It sort of just depends on their attitude, and how mature they are to see it. I will say there were a couople parts in this film that I wish I had not seen, for just reasons. But I loved it nonetheless. The only really thing I did not like about it, is how long it was. It was just a little more than two and a half hours. But if you are really interested in the movie, then you will sit right through it. and another thing, you really have to pay attention to it. If you don't you will be asking alot of questions and such like that.

The first thing to say about this movie is that its very hard to follow.Because of this I dont think the normal child or young teen would even want to finish the movie.There are some scenes of violence but they are not graphic and quite short,there are a few sex scenes however,while there is no nudity you see them under the covers from the shoulders up along with"movement".I would say that this movie is appropriate for people 15 and up because of content along with the over all plot of the movie.
